Thursday Morning !!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday Morning !!!

Postby Carolinagal » Thu Apr 07, 2011 7:27 am

RISE AND SHINE, PEOPLE !!!!! I've been on for a couple of hours now and no one here to share my coffee with or the early morning hours. All must be busy, or sleeping .

I've drank my coffee but will be happy to make a new pot and have cereal with blueberries, strawberries, topped off with banana for breakfast, for anyone who care to have some.

Bacon and eggs, pancakes, oatmeal could all be served too, if you asked real sweet like.

Have a Really Great day, whatever your doing, or wherever your travels are taking you,

Stay safe !!!!

CArol :)

Good morning!

Little headachy this morning, must've been the 1/2 margerita from last night. very strong.

We are counting down the days that we have to go to work.... if all goes as planned, we'll be done with our official duties on April 15. These last remaining days are challenging as far as motivation. But we are truly celebrating the opportunity that lies before us.

Right now, kitty kat is snuggled in my lap. He seems to prefer to hang in the RV with me vs the house with the renters. But of course, he likes to roam outside too, and that will not happen on the road. I've got to get him comfortable with the renters before we leave.

Okay, off to get my first cup of coffee for the day.

Enjoy!
Choose to be happy!

Good Morning CArol and everyone else... have been outside and it is cool out there... the mist is rising off the water and the sun is shining just above the far trees... Shadow and I took a short walk... did not get the trike off but may do that later this afternoon... this is a nice corp park with a lot of fisherman with their boats... I am north of Eufaula, AL... there are more parks that are all over the country you need to look them up at www.recreation.gov if you just do a corp search you do not find many but on the gov site there are many more...
I will stay here another night and move toward the north again... will see Sarah and Wendy by the first of the week...
May your day be full of sunshine and bright happenings...

Good Morning CArol, Kimberly, Kathleen and all,

Slept in a bit later this morning, but have had breakfast, washed my hair and took a nice warm morning bath, so now I am ready to tackle the day. Thanks for you kind offer of breakfast CArol. A nice hot stack of warm pancakes and sausage sounded so good :) Maybe I could have even brought some fresh Michigan Maple syrup.

I was just reading through my latest issue of RV, the Magazine, published for President's Club Members of Camping World and soon to be combined with Good Same's Highways magazine. The RV Doctor was answering a question from an RVer about the pros and cons of operating your water heater on propane or electric and he mentioned a new after market kit called "Cheap Heat" which is being manufactured by RV Comfort Systems and can convert your furnace to run on electric as well as gas. I posted the link in the Maintenance/Tech Issues thread. It looks like it might be something to look into down the line and is apparently even being backed by Surbaban. Now I would love that. And I'm sure others who park their rigs for long periods where they might need heat would like it too. Would reduce the use of electric heaters and also propane. Be interesting to see if the RV manufactuers will do something like this. You can read the whole works on the link.

So today is going to be devoted to TT day. The sun is starting to break through the clouds out there and it's supposed to be in the low 50's. And keep warming up all weekend with possible strong storms coming in on Sunday/Monday. So I am going to take the cover off the TT and put it away for the summer. Then plan on moving the TT off the boards it has been sitting on all winter and let it sit down on my blacktop. Will be good for those tires to move off the same spot. Got a bit of burlap to put away too and get my lawn tractor ready for the dealer to pick up and go over for me, change oil, lube, put on new blades etc. I change my own oil, filter and lube it myself, but it's just too hard to change the blades, so about every other year I send it up there so they can check it all over and do that. My blades were sharpened by my neighbor each year but he passed away last year, so that's the end of that.

Since it's going to be nice for the next couple of days, I want to wash my windows outside and put my screen back in. Might just be able to open a window or two this coming weekend. We shall see. Be nice to have some fresh outside air inside. So as you can see, things are starting to get busy around here.

I also ordered some extra cupboard doors for my TT's storage cabinets over my sofa and bed and they are in, so tomorrow morning, it's off to the dealer to pick them up. Will install them one day when it's not too cold but maybe a bit rainy. Good inside project.

So time, to get with it. Enjoy your day all. Hoope you all have some great weather to get out and enjoy. Thanks for the COE link Kathleen. Will look it up and see what's out there and also have a link for a directory of ACOE campgrounds and sites that can be purchased through PPLLMotorhomes. So I will have stuff stacked up to the ceiling to look through.

Morning all. Parked outside of Big Bend National Park for the next 2 days. We'll get a chance to wander even if it gets closed on Saturday if the House can't get together on the budget. Weather is cool in the evening and hot during the day-we must be in the desert  Glad to see the girls having fun in Port Lavaca. Colliemom, our rig has switches to change from electric to propane furnace. That might be something they decided to do with the newer rigs. It is defintely a bonus. And thanks for the website. Time to get dressed and see what's out there along with some grocery shopping. Have a great day. carold

My van is coming out of the auto shop today with its new engine but can't go to the rv shop for its roof top AC.. because the rv shop has some large work orders that need to get out first.... like MY RV. :)

They have a small lot and unlike other rv shops, don't have you bring your rv in.. until they are actually ready to work on it.

Sue - thanks for the info on the elec/gas convert kit. Its not cheap though and from what I have read, can take up some space. Sounds interesting though and I plan to keep an eye on it.

However, being that I'm ultra cheap.. I use electric space heaters when hooked up but if I full timed, it would be nice to just hit a switch to go to electric.

Its a beautiful day out.. and I need to get on the trusty trike and pedal to the auto shop to pick up the van.

Morning all (at least it is here for another 9 minutes). Back at work today (38 more school days to go) but burned a sick day yesterday to do some things around the house and to go downtown to sign my official retirement papers. Yeah!! Did a lot of work in the yard yesterday but it was a nice day for it weatherwise. I'm hoping the pretty spring weather will bring home buyers into the neighborhood. I have a large lot (.8 acre) for in the city and lots of flower beds. When my dh was alive he would build beds and planters all over the place and I would fill them with roses and other perrenials. After he died I lost my love for gardening, but I do see the flowering planters as a possible lure for buyers so am trying to under 5 years of neglect. Ugh - a lot of weeds to pull!

On Wednesdays my nephew stays overnight becuase he has a late class in town and it saves him a long drive home. Luckily class was out early yesterday and he was there before the sun went down. I thought I heard animal sounds in the attic the other night and needed it checked. Good old Matt, tired after a day of work and school, went up into the attic and found a very recently deceased wren (no nest luckily) and then he found the hole in the roof where it got in. So he was up on my roof repairing the hole by lantern light last night. He is a great guy to have around. So mystery is solved, repairs have been made, gardens are whipping into shape, and the school days are winding down. I am so ready for a long road trip!

Morning! It's still morning here. Actually 10:10AM~

Just finishing my cup of coffee and will need to get a few groceries later on.

Got a card from my GF in Illinois. She was going down the basement steps and missed the last step and broke her leg! She is in allot of pain and has her son living nearby to help her out. She is bummed because her son/DIL in GA. are expecting their first baby in a few weeks and she was going to fly down for the birth.

Weather-wise they are saying that tomorrow we might have a dry day, then back to rain. We don't even get a chance to dry out! Temp this AM is 39*

Got a text from my youngest GD. She, her sister and Mom were at the Phoenix airport awaiting a flight back to WA. They will be in for a shock after being use to the 100* AZ weather for over a week. Looks like I'll get to watch them on Saturday overnight as their Mom has to work and their Dad is driving back.

My niece, from Illinois, was suppose to be driving out this month with a friend who is moving to my area. Haven't heard anything so don't know if it's still a go or not. My nephew and his family are wanting to visit in August.

I have been tracking my iPad shipment from Hong Kong and it has been sitting at a FedEx on an island there for 3 days. I can only assume the disaster in Japan has pushed back some of their shipping. At least that's what I'm telling myself so I don't get perturbed.

Keeping all of you that haven't been feeling well in my prayers.
Have a blessed day!

Good afternoon! I was up early this morning to drive into Ocala (25 miles south) for a dentist appt. (just cleaning). Didn't even have time to stop and enjoy the sunrise...only saw it in my rear view mirror. Teeth are clean now. While in Ocala I also dropped some paperwork by the lawyer's office that is doing the closing on the house. Hoping for the closing next week, which makes it good that I won't be in the Dry Tortugas. Things always do work out.

It's kinda hot here, got the AC on for wahile. Also doing laundry & a little cleaning.

See you later.
