Good Morning CArol, Kimberly, Kathleen and all,
Slept in a bit later this morning, but have had breakfast, washed my hair and took a nice warm morning bath, so now I am ready to tackle the day. Thanks for you kind offer of breakfast CArol. A nice hot stack of warm pancakes and sausage sounded so good
Maybe I could have even brought some fresh Michigan Maple syrup.
I was just reading through my latest issue of RV, the Magazine, published for President's Club Members of Camping World and soon to be combined with Good Same's Highways magazine. The RV Doctor was answering a question from an RVer about the pros and cons of operating your water heater on propane or electric and he mentioned a new after market kit called "Cheap Heat" which is being manufactured by RV Comfort Systems and can convert your furnace to run on electric as well as gas. I posted the link in the Maintenance/Tech Issues thread. It looks like it might be something to look into down the line and is apparently even being backed by Surbaban. Now I would love that. And I'm sure others who park their rigs for long periods where they might need heat would like it too. Would reduce the use of electric heaters and also propane. Be interesting to see if the RV manufactuers will do something like this. You can read the whole works on the link.
So today is going to be devoted to TT day. The sun is starting to break through the clouds out there and it's supposed to be in the low 50's. And keep warming up all weekend with possible strong storms coming in on Sunday/Monday. So I am going to take the cover off the TT and put it away for the summer. Then plan on moving the TT off the boards it has been sitting on all winter and let it sit down on my blacktop. Will be good for those tires to move off the same spot. Got a bit of burlap to put away too and get my lawn tractor ready for the dealer to pick up and go over for me, change oil, lube, put on new blades etc. I change my own oil, filter and lube it myself, but it's just too hard to change the blades, so about every other year I send it up there so they can check it all over and do that. My blades were sharpened by my neighbor each year but he passed away last year, so that's the end of that.
Since it's going to be nice for the next couple of days, I want to wash my windows outside and put my screen back in. Might just be able to open a window or two this coming weekend. We shall see. Be nice to have some fresh outside air inside. So as you can see, things are starting to get busy around here.
I also ordered some extra cupboard doors for my TT's storage cabinets over my sofa and bed and they are in, so tomorrow morning, it's off to the dealer to pick them up. Will install them one day when it's not too cold but maybe a bit rainy. Good inside project.
So time, to get with it. Enjoy your day all. Hoope you all have some great weather to get out and enjoy. Thanks for the COE link Kathleen. Will look it up and see what's out there and also have a link for a directory of ACOE campgrounds and sites that can be purchased through PPLLMotorhomes. So I will have stuff stacked up to the ceiling to look through.
