Windy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Windy Sunday

Morning ladies!

Can't believe I'm the first one up today. The birds are singing here in the park. Finally the dog that was tied up on a line outside the tents across the woods from me is quiet as are the kids that belong with the tents. I may be crazy (don't ask the goddess for confirmation) but I swear at 4:30 I woke up to the sound of a donkey braying. At first I thought well, yeah, it's the Mule Day weekend. But then I remembered I'm 90 miles away from that city so maybe I am crazy. But I did hear it again around 5:30 which is when I gave up and started my day. Maybe it was God's way of saying "Hey, don't be a lazy jack**s and lay in bed all day!"

Time for coffee.

Good morning all,

Chilly 47 in Kentucky, but it's supposed to warm up to 74, yippee.

Well, tommorrow is the big day :D :D . We finally pick up our TT in Ohio and go on our maiden voyage. Should be interesting during our "training" at the dealership as it's supposed to be storming, oh well, it's all in the adventure :? :? . We will take pics and of course video our training.

Y'all have been lifesavers already. KOTR and I have been packing up for weeks and every time he has a question about something, he says, can you go ask your women what they suggest? Thank you so much for welcoming me and helping me feel like I'm not alone in this.

We've only had one glitch so far (I am sure it's the first of many!), but we ordered back up mirrors for our Avalanche and they sent the wrong ones, claiming emphatically that they were correct. KOTR had to finally call the manufacturer and explain that the body of the Avalanche was changed in "07 (which is the year we have). Finally got it straightened out, but the correct mirrors won't be here by the time we leave. Oh well, please send up "backing up" prayers.  .

We'll keep you posted, to be continued..................

Good morning all, I've been up a long time too, not sure what woke me but I couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and watched a couple of I Love Lucy reruns, I think she was one of the all time great comedians. Her facial expressions alone are hilarious. I wonder what the younger people of the old reruns.

Has anyone else had problems getting their messages, I can't read mine this morning, keep getting a general error.

Pookie I hope tomorrow goes well and the weather will be better than expected.

Good Morning from the 45th,

HorizonSeeker, you never know, you may have well heard a donkey braying. But at least you got up to see the day arrive anyway.

A cloudy morning here this morning. Rain/snow moving in, transitioning to all rain later on as temps contnue to rise. Hope it rains enough to take care of the remainng snow patches and start working the frost out of the ground. May have a little snow shower stuff again tomorrow late and possibly Tuesday morning. No big deal here. The eastern U.P. however is under a Winter Weather Advisory from this afternoon till late tonight for 3-4 inches of heavy wet snow before it too changes to rain  Ah, the joys of spring. No more talk of that season that falls between fall and winter. Yesterday when I was walking the girls, the robins were chirping in the trees, the which of have a lot of buds out and I've heard reports of daffodils coming up.

Lenora, if you go camping to Millersylvania SP, Christine is there right now as Campground host. Look her up and tell her I said hi.

Guess today I will put some more stuff for the garage sale in the pile. This will be the last time I will do anythng with a garage sale till I put my own house on the market and see where I am going from there. I've pretty well cleared out what I want to let go of now so there isn't much more I can get rid of till then. Guess I am going to put the dolls my mother crocheted about 20 years ago in this sale. They have been boxed up in totes for about that past 8 years or so and it's time for somebody else to enjoy them. I don't have any shelving space to put them out nor do I want to bother with having to keep them dusted all the time anymore. She got patterns for a series (don't remember the name) and made up a lot of them. I have about a dozen at least here. I will keep a couple of my favorites and let the rest go. Wil make quick inquiry t to family to see if anybody wants any first, but I doubt it. Times change and we with the times.

Once this weather front is out of the way I will start getting busy outside. Need to wash the outside of my windows again and reinstall the screens, put my screen door in my window wall, put my snowblowers up for the summer and get my lawn tractor up and running, the TT uncovered and cleaned etc. Only have 3 weeks before work calls, so want to get done what I can before then. A busy time of the year for me after a looooonnggggggggg winter line Lenoa said.

Have a great day all.

Again.. I posted a long post.. and again.. it was eaten by the netgods.

Short version. Van and RV are in shop. I'm riding my trike for errands and using the local trolley system when the destination is not safe to pedal to.

I would of cheated on week one of the auto free exercise program if both vehicles weren't in the shop. *hanging head in shame*

Soooooooooooo.. looking for support group - fellow bike/trike riders that want to try running errands by bike/trike instead of car.

Hmm.. I think I like the recap version of this post way better than the original long winded one. :)

good morning ladies

Summer is here too early but supposed to be down into the 80's this week and
by friday 79. Hope its accurate but we all know weather reports are pretty much
jello reports.
Time to get dressed and get over to the laundry room. (someday I won't have to do that)
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Morning all. Hanging out here at Betty's, waiting for Martha to pick me up for lunch with her and a friend. Went out yesterday afternoon to Touchouets (2 checks) to listen to music and have a few beers. Seems that all of Betty's RV'ers were there too. Met a nice couple from Abbeville and got to talking-who me  Had a blast and the music was great. At 5:30 they serve a free meal. This Saturday was spaghetti and salad-sometimes it's gumbo or whatever they feel like making. In the evening, went with another couple to Smileys for some more music and dancing (got to get it in while I'm here). Lo and behold, that Abbeville couple were there and we invited them to our table. Got to do some 2 stepping so figure I've done enough aerobics to last for at least a week  Then around 10 another free meal. This time it was rice with potatoes, sausage and gravy. Seems the free meal with music is a mainstay at these places. Stayed til 11 pm. The people here are really friendly. One of the norms is to exchange partners for dancing. Took a minute for the rving couples to get it, and then they just jumped right in. Bob took some pics and a video (this camera is terrible for videos) and put it on the blog. Enjoy your day. carold

Morning,

Carold I should have joined you all at Touchout's. I had never been there until I went to a GTG at Betty's and she brought us. I have never been to Smiley's. My DH doesn't dance and the last time I tried I was so out of shape I didn't think I was going to make it through one song. If you stayed around here very long we would fatten you up.

I am leaving in a few minutes to pick you up. We are meeting Carolyn in Lafayette for lunch. Another GTG. :D I think my camera is in my purse but with Carolyn there it should be well documented.

Woohoo, Carold! You are a dancin' fool! (no pun intended  ). Looked like great fun!

Alice, sorry all your transport is in the shop but glad you still have the human powered kind to rely on. Sometimes we have to revert to what was popular in the "old days".

Today I went and got Little Missy as I want have her here at the house to get in ASAP in the AM to get her emissions test done. Hope she passes. I also put some water in her tank and ran all the faucets/toilet to get that going for the summer. Retried the fridge to make sure the switch over to gas was still a go. And it was!

The sun was out but now it's getting darker and darker so I closed up Little Missy, I came in for lunch, and now am on this thing. I may take my Kindle out and sit and read in her. My dog? :o Won't leave the house as soon as he sees her in the driveway. Poor guy. Hopefully when we do more he'll get over it.

My DD/family are all in Fountain Hill, AZ visiting my SIL's mother. They are driving back her Escalade as she no longer needs two vehicles since losing her husband in January, and my DD's family needs another vehicle, so it worked out.

Ok that's it from here! Have a restful, peaceful, blessed rest of the day!
