I haven't seen the reports for today, but suspect more of the same. I do have the hope that summer will eventually arrive. I'm so certain that I'm going to check on a campground about 100 miles up the interstate! I might just go there even if it's to sit in Little Missy and read. Desperate times calls for............

Have a blessed day!

Lenora, which cg are you referring to that is 100 miles up the interstate? I have been to just about all of them in Washington, depending on what direction you go once you hit Olympia I wonder if you are talking of Hoods Canal..lots of those campgrounds are terrific..I love the canal. If it's Doswalips St Park it almost always has elk in the fields.
You mentioned that you had warm temps yesterday. Funny how just a little distance apart and different weather. It has been storming and rainy here for the last week. Today is pleasant, mornings are good and then then it changes around 9:30 or 10:00. Whitecaps in the bay this morning. I try to leave the beaches open to the weekenders...they get all the parking spots...since I have all week to be there. but am feeling a little cabin-fever today so may just go join them.

Ok, trying this again..
Millersylvania SP is what I had in mind. I believe one of the forum sisters workamps there.

Well, it's not even close to morning, but I've been up since 6:38, thanks to going to bed at 10:00 last night. Seems like 8 hours is all this body needs. But I snoozed for about 30 min. before getting myself together & taking off for errand running.

I, too, went to the trailer today to drop off things that had been accumulating in the garage. I'm off to Borrego Springs next weekend (the beginning of my Spring Break) with a bunch of friends, and it's always fun to plan. It should be beautiful out there, as our week's supposed to be cool and maybe even rainy. Might even take my foldable bike with me, as we'll be close to Anza Borrego State Park. I was going to go to San Diego from there for a few days but decided to postpone that & go in July. There's a nice RV park right on Mission Bay & Jed can play in the water on Fiesta Island which isn't too far away. It's pricey, but I LOVE San Diego & it'll be nice to spend a week down there when it'll probably be hot here. No big trips on the calendar for me this summer.

Also made a run to Bed, Bath & Beyond & came away with $160 worth of stuff. Most of it wasn't necessary, but it made me happy to get new sheets for the guest room, a new dish drainer for my kitchen, towels for the car seat (I always use them in the summer -- keeps the upholstery clean), and more dish towels. And then it was off to Costco for a roasted chicken, some gummy bears, and 2 books. Yes ... I have a Nook, but I can't resist some of the books they have. They're still cheaper than buying them for my Nook & I'll donate them to the city library when I'm done.

My St. Augustine grass is beginning to grow after its winter dormancy so it got mowed today. My flowerbeds are chock-full of weeds, thanks to the big rains we've had, and I've hired a guy to come pull them on Monday. It's worth the money to get them cleaned out & he's willing to come every 4-6 weeks to keep them up. I've gotten to where it's just too hard on my back to do so much bending over, but my yard is so small that most gardeners don't want to do it. I don't mind doing the mowing and edging and planting flowers every now & then, but the non-stop weeding is more than I want to tackle.

So now that that's done I'm ready to stretch out for a little snooze too. Then I'll unload the car, make up the extra bed and get some laundry done. Tomorrow I'm meeting friends at the beach (Balboa Island -- home of the rich & famous) to go Segway riding -- woo-hoo!!! We got a Groupon discount & it's 50% off for a 2-hour tour of the island. I can hardly wait!

Okay, off to slumberland! Enjoy the rest of your day everyone!

It has cooled off here today to the mid 70's which is very nice!

I have been getting some things to fix up the balcony. I got two hybiscus plants, potted by little cacti, and getting some other decorations for out there. I wish I wasn't facing the parking lot tho. So much noise from cars, people and dogs!

I live next to the Storm baseball stadium which is a minor league team out here. Today they have a big pre-season celebration there for the kids, so I am hearing a lot of stuff going on over there as well.

No news on the job, apartment and car issues yet...but since it is Saturday, I am not going to worry about it! Gonna enjoy the day off!
Will need to look into getting internet service soon since my roommate will be disconnecting hers next week sometime. Will also need to get some other things for around here once she is totally moved out, depending of course on what a new roommate might bring in, as far as furniture, etc. I have my own dishes and bought a set of silverware last week, but need a few other kitchen things yet. Also need a small kitchen table but will check thrift stores for stuff like that. I have two small chairs that I got from Evie (Pooker) but just need a table for them. I can pull my porch furniture inside for the living room if I need to for now.

I would really like to finally get settled someplace! Seems like I am always on the move for one reason or another! Need a stable, long-term job first and then find a nice comfy place to live that I can be happy with for awhile. I feel like a transient right now!

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
