Thinking Of OliveOil

OliveOil: AKA: OO, has been on my heart today. I'm sure she's hip deep in her auctions stuff. I just thought we all should take a minute and send good thoughts her way. I miss her and her wit.

I've been thinking about OO quite a bit lately also - thinking those auctions should be over with and she should be settled in her new place.

Come on back and let us know all about it, OO!

I finally heard from OO! She and hubby are fine - I'll leave the details of all that has gone on with the sales/auctions for when she makes it on the forum. She was using hubbies computer and didn't know her passwords, etc - so hopefully she'll be back here soon.

Hello everyone
Well the auctions are over------ & all the real estate sold----- & we close on the sale of the two properties this next Monday!
We have never ever worked so hard & lost sooooooooooooooooooo much money!
The bottom fell out of things just before our auctions------ & we had already spent over $3,000 on advertising & had worked night & day for weeks & weeks & weeks getting ready for the auctions so what do you do---do you keep swimming up stream-------or try to stop the auctions & wait for a better time IF there is a better time------ so we just went for it & lost our A$$ on the auctions of real estate & personal property!!!!!!!!!
We have never worked so hard & lost so much money at one time!!!!!!!!!
We really just gave things away!!!!!!!
BUT it is all gone!!!!!!!!
And so is our nest egg!!!!!!
We are living Happy Ever After------- & are moved & getting more settled each day------ today we got a land line & Dish TV & internet--------
I'm on Hubby's computer------ as mine is getting more memory---- & I'll get it back when the kids come for a visit around Thanksgiving!
I had to guess at all my log in names & passwords------ as I could not find where I had written them down before the move!!!
Hope all of you are well-------
We are so glad everything is sold & it is over & we are on to the next chapter of our lives!!!
Our 5th wheel sold for nothing also-------- & our truck we towed it with-------
We are looking for a small travel trailer to put behind the small PU to take to Blue grass festivals-etc/etc------
We are enjoying the Ozarks------ & it is hard to have a bad day in the Ozarks!!!!!!!
And we are being blessed by God each day we are here----------glad to have the sales & auctions-etc/etc-over with!!!
It was a very emotional time---- & very hard work preparing for the auctions & then loosing so much money-----we had worked hard for years to obtain!!!
But Hubby & I both said we were soooooooooooo glad we did it now when we had both of us to do it all together----& make the decisions together also-as we could NOT have done all of it alone!!!!!!!!
It is done & over & we are on to living happy ever after!!!!!!!
Thanks for checking on me--------
Almost there------ how is your son????????????
We have prayed for him many times!!!!!!!!!

Very glad to hear from you OO!,...... but very sad to hear that you didn't do well financially. I think everyone is taking a beating right now,... I know my IRA has been hit hard,... Guess we're all in the same boat,.. but at least the boat isn't sinking! :D

We missed you!

Hi, sweet lady!!
I'm so happy to hear from you! Thank you for asking about my son. He's went back to work in the ER but on limited duty as he can't do much lifting right now. Not even a milk jug. I would appreciate continued prayer for him and his co-workers as they had a emergency with one of their own. One of the doctors had major back surgery and was brought into the ER and coded 3 times on them. He was throwing off blood clots from the surgery. They got him stablized and into a room but later that night he coded again and died. He was 38 yr old! My son treated his 10 yr old son last week for a peanut allergy so got to know the boy and wife as well.
I'm sorry about your financial loss with your auctions. I know that had to be so disappointing to loose so much of what you worked so hard for.
I'm happy you are now settling in your new home, fully retired, and life will be so much easier for you and hubby. Enjoy these precious days with one another, treat it as gold.
Peace, joy and love!

We are soooooooooooooo glad everything is gone & we are moved & getting settled before cold weather!
Continued prayers for your son & co-workers Almost there!!!!!!!
Hubby & I have always worked & we have usually owned at least one or two businesses at one time---- & Hubby another full time job------ so this is a total different lifestyle!!!!!!
