April Fool's Day!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

April Fool's Day!

Postby BarbaraRose » Fri Apr 01, 2011 3:11 am

Haven't gotten to bed yet but since it is after midnight, I thought I would get things started here for you early birds on the east coast! I even said "rabbits" already! (I need all the luck I can get this month!)

You are on your own for coffee this morning, but I might have some cinnamon toast for you all later on (once I get up, which will probably be late since I haven't gone to bed yet
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Well jeez, Barbie, you beat me to it. I am also still up (rare for me) and said "Rabbits!" just after midnight. Like you I need all the luck I can get. Hope everyone has a good day. I am off to bed. Nighty night.

I'm up and getting ready to leave for work. Today would have been my 17th wedding anniversary. Yes, we were April Fools! Love this day. Also, officially only 2 full months till my retirement date! RABBITS?

No rabbits here, but the sun is up on a beautiful day....time to get your "ducks" in a row. (Well, in this case, ibises. The Yellow Legs didn't cooperate.)

After 3 days of clouds and rain I was blessed by another gorgeous sunrise here. Need to do some cleaning today as mud and debris have been tracked in these past two days. Hope to put the throw rugs in the wash and then vacuum out the rest. Not much else on the agenda today.

Safe travels to all those on the roads.

TRAILER FLIPPED OVER! Just not mine! APRIL FOOL! (At least I THINK/hope my trailer is ok, or my son would have called me after the past two days of violent weather down here in Central Florida.) The pictures of what happened to people's homes and RVs and yards and cars and semi-trucks over the past 48 hours is shocking. This area made out pretty well, with just some minor tree limbs breaking off and blowing around the yard----one narrowly missed my truck. Lots of patio furniture, garbage cans, and so on, blew around the neighborhood, and lightning flashed non-stop day and night. The rains were also non-stop, and torrential. I feel very lucky after viewing this morning's news reports. The winds were violent, and the windows shook, but the roof stayed on, unlike many others.

And I forgot to say RABBITS this morning-----Molly had to go out at about 4:00 as her antihistamines seem to make her need to drink more and pee more, and that's when I should have said it. Sigh----maybe good luck will prevail anyway this month.

I will do some yard cleanup this morning, and then head to St. Cloud to check out things down there. I hope my trailer is dry and safe. The weekend is supposed to be beautiful, and it will be nice to have that sun back.

Kathleen, I hope you are able to get packed today and do what you need to do in order to move on out safely. I am hoping things dry off in a hurry in this nice sun and breeze. Stay in touch as often as you can on your way homeward....we will all be thinking of you. Happy trails to you and to all on the roads.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning everyone!

It's another damp, dreary, raw day on the eastern shore. Temperatures started in the mid 30's and we'll top off in the 40's later in the day. Tomorrow will be basically a repeat of today but there is a chance of gradual clearing late in the day. Sunday is supposed to be beautiful with sunshine and temperatures in the 50's. The sun peeked out from behind a cloud earlier this morning and it was so exciting seeing shadows on the ground but that was short lived. But at this point, we'll take any sun we can get, even if it's just for a minute.

After work, I'll get a work out in and then hubby, Teddy & I will get in the motorhome to head to the campground for the opening weekend of the season. Despite the damp weather, I am looking forward to sitting around a campfire and taking lots of walks. Hopefully we'll be meeting up with some of the seasonals as well.

Have a good day everyone & be safe.

G'morning!

Soos, good to hear you fared OK. Love a good thunderstorm. Well, I use to. It's been since 1980 that I've witnessed one. :o  I'd probably run in circles in a panic if I were down there, Soos! When I went back home to Illinois last summer, I recall being weirded out by the sound of all the crickets. Another thing I hadn't heard since leaving Illinois in '80.

Well, we finally hit the 60* mark yesterday. The first time since Dec 13th! Today it's suppose to be the same, then guess what!? More rain and cooler weather! I'm so over all this. I am so out of shape that after my walk yesterday my lower back hurt as did the bottom of my feet. I know it's from all this extra weight I've added on this winter. :(

Today's activities include going to the credit union and signing a form to put my DD's name as beneficiary to the new account I opened there last Saturday. Right next door is a Red Robin (among a dozen other restaurants, but I love Red Robin), so I'm going to call my friend, Jeannette and see if she wants to do lunch. I really wanted to visit Little Missy and run her gennie today. We'll see.

That's my story...short and boring as it is, it is mine!
Hugs to you all! Have a gooder!

Good morning all, Soos I hope the storms are over for the season! Glad to hear it has cleared so maybe you can pack Kathleen. Go slow coming home as it is not warm here yet and you are farther up.

We had a psychic/medium at our Hypnosis class last night. She lives in a totally different world than most people and I found it hard to grasp some of her experiences. I've heard her speak before and when she comes it always seems to encourage others in the class to tell of some of their unusual experiences so it makes for interesting discussions.

I've spent a couple of hours trying to book DH a Yotel. It's sort of a mini motel room at bigger airports that you can rent by the hour. It is a great idea for long layovers but booking it was a royal pain. The one I was trying to set up for him is in London and the web site just would not work, then when I tried to call I would get a message that the call could not be completed. When I did get through I got an answering machine saying call back during business hours. This morning I dialed many many times before the call finally did go and I was able to get the booking. He is so happy because his layover is 9 hours and that isn't long enough to drag his stuff to a motel and back plus the cost is much less. The room is really cute and says it has a monsoon rainshower with choices of scented body wash, plus 24 hour room service

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

I hope that RABBITS thing still works if ya say it in the morning after ya get up but didn't go to bed until after midnight??? Plus I didn't say it first thing I woke up. Sat thinking about it and realized I hadn't said a word in the hour that I HAD been up. so said the heck with it and quietly yelled RABBITS! I too can use all the luck I can get this month!

Looks to be another beautiful day here again. Sun is shining and hardly a breeze out there. Sure is quiet out there in the campground tho. Most all the guys that work at the mine and with the construction crew doing the new water lines in the next tiny town over are either at work or gone home for the weekend. And that makes the cleaning of the bathrooms so much easier. We have got one really doofy couple here that every freaking time we get to cleaning they want to use the bathrooms. He is about to drive Kelly and I nuts!!! I know that they have a bathroom in there trailer but jeeze. He will come over to use the bathroom, then mention that he needs a shower. We will tell him to give us at least 30 to maybe 45 minutes to finish and let the floor dry. Oh he's all agreeable but then comes back with-in 15 minutes to take his shower. Talk about being a PITA.....

Got interrupted so here we go posting after 12 noon again. ~sigh~

Hope everyone has a super day. Be safe at home, at camp and on the road!!!

Love to all

no rabbits here, unfortunately first thing I said as I was awakened at 1:30 was CRAP, the girls were in some big
viscioius fight with each other. Finally got them seperated after they rolled around the whole room snarling and
growling and snapping at each other as I got up to turn the light on. Put Gracie in the kennel and made Pixie
go to bed but of course they didn't settle and I was still awake an hour later. Somewhere in there I fell asleep
and woke up again at 3:30 and let Gracie out of the kennel and the two girls were so happy to see each other
like nothing had ever happened :? So, like I said, no rabbits, just crap, which of course that part happened
too cause the poop was flying from one of them! (probably Gracie) Tried to get back to sleep and don't know
if I ever did until I heard the alarm at 5:10.

It's way past morning and even past afternoon here - but my morning - when I could have posted, I was outside taking pictures in the snow - yes SNOW. Peaches played, and I took pics - and before I knew it I had to hurry to get to work on time. By the time I left work this afternoon, the snow was long gone. But it was a couple inches this morning and still coming down in big, wet flakes. Figure it was my last snow of the season - made being so cold this week worthwhile - as I think snow is soooooooo beautiful when all the trees are blanketed. The birds were very vocal this morning, also. Not sure they agreed with Peaches and I liking it - they say they have come north because it's supposed to be spring. Hopefully temps will get there soon.

Hope you all had a great day. Now you can have a great evening!
