STORMS ON THE WAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

STORMS ON THE WAY

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:46 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

The weather forecast for today and tomorrow is scaring me----they are predicting heavy rains, frequent lightning, and horrendous winds with a possibility of twisting winds, or tornadoes. They say to make sure your battery-powered radios have fresh batteries, and I can't as mine is back in my trailer! I guess, if things get really scary, I can unplug this laptop and run it until the battery quits while watching a radar map. There is to be a reprieve tonight before the really worse storms hit tomorow, so I can recharge it then, I suppose. Those of you in the gulf states are having that weather today, and I hope you all are hunkered down and safe.

I guess I could go get some groceries and more seltzer before the skies get cantankerous, so I'll sign off now. Lightning and bad winds for me are akin to hauling my trailer on strange, busy roads------downright teeth-chattering!

Coffee's hot, so sit a spell, unless you are in the storm belt!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

The thunderstorm hit us while we were having dinner in New Orleans. Lots of rain and lightening. The worst of it was just south of here. Raining on and off, so glad we had been to the supermarket yesterday. The campground is having a little trouble draining, which is pretty typical to these low lying areas. Otherwise all is well as I get re-accustomed to being on the road. Hope all goes well for everyone today. carold

Good morning and batten down the hatches! HOpe the storms heading your way are uneventful.

Carold, I'm a little bit jealous... New Orleans is on my list and we will be so close this summer, but ultimately decided it wasn't going to work out for us this trip. Hope you are enjoying it!

In our house, we have short-timers disease, BIGtime. Still lot's to do, but so hard to go to work each day and answer questions from members about whether we are going to sell or close. They are so anxious. We are okay with it, either way. But for the members, they will have to find a new gym. Walking the tightrope is getting downright tricky. Pushing the buyers to move more quickly.

End of the month means busy, busy in our other business. So I will be running around today helping people reach month-end goals in these last couple days.

Rain and snow is back here. Sunshine over the weekend. Hope there is sun in Kansas City as well. That's where I'll be Friday-Monday.

Enjoy your day!
Choose to be happy!

Good morning all. Soos sorry the storms are bad, do they have storm sirens there? If so, turn all your stuff off, maybe not watching won't be so stressful.
I had a good day yesterday visiting with my friend. We have similar outlooks and it is always good to discuss things with those who know & understand where your mind is!
Carol hope you get settled into your new routine soon and have a great trip. Kim, hope the sale can go quickly and you can get on the road.

My little WInnie doesn't have Cushings which is good but, they don't know yet what is wrong. Will post the next test they want to do over in the Pet section.

Good morning everyone!

It's still morning here on the east coast for a few more minutes, but it is very overcast and quite chilly. Rain will be starting soon and will continue through the night into tomorrow. I'm so glad we finally got the new roof finished. We had a small but strong tornado that came through our yard last year that ruined lots of our trees and played havoc with the roof on our house. We had the roof on the house fixed shortly after it was damaged and waited until the winter weather cleared to have the roof on the garage done as well.

Please stay safe, wherever you are.

Typical Fla weather for this time of year, Soos, I always kind of enjoy a big loud thunderstorm, but that's me. Not to crazy about the high winds, tho, or chance of tornado. Been there, done that.

Finally getting some good weather out here, supposed to be in the 80's today, my kind of weather. I was beginning to think I was going to have to sell Hope and buy a boat!

Lots and lots going on here...well, kind of. Going to Laughlin end of April for a week for the annual River Run, that's always fun. I drive Hope down with the fur kids and BF rides his bike. To many bikes for me, so I ride 2nd seat there. The grands had Grandparents day a few weeks ago at school, and the youngest asked me when I was going to take them on a trip in the bus. So, being at the age where they are kind of house trained (8 & 9), I said sure, why not? So June 20th we are taking off for Tucson for a week. Should be interesting. I'm taking a lesson from my sister and giving both girls an envelope with 20 one dollar bills. Every time they whine, fight or backtalk, they have to give me back a dollar. I expect to get about half of my investment back before we get home. Called Evie (Pooker) to see if she wanted to go and she jumped at it, silly woman, so she's going to follow along in Flitter and do some sightseeing with us. Said she would bow out on the cave tour, tho.

I have hated the pilot seat in my rv since I bought it...I assumed when I ordered it that it would have Flexsteel furniture in it, seeing as how Monaco bought HR, and when I asked my salesguy what was the difference between the HR and Monaco, he said 3000.00. No, really, what's the difference? He said none. Silly me, should have known better and done a little more research. Anyway, after 6 years of a numb butt and sore back after a long drive (sometimes I just get in the zone and keep on driving) I've ordered a Flexsteel Captains chair. Also ordered new flooring and possibly a new tv setup in the front. So, Hope is getting a makeover. I thought about a facelift for me, but figured I would get more use out of a facelift for her for probably the same amount of money. :D

Then leaving in August sometime for my annual trip back east, not sure where I'm going or how long I'll be gone. Only 3 places I have to be...Arkansas at son's house, he's watching Hope and the fur kids while I go cruising with SunshineCruiser for a week, GTG in Arkansas after that, and the Bikes, Blues and BBQ in Fayetteville in Oct. GK's there, too, along with family there and in Oklahoma. Should be home by Thanksgiving unless I get a burr in my tail and decide to try wintering in Fla. Doubt if that will happen, but you never know.

Hope those on the road are traveling safe and those sitting have good weather and a great day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

Yeah I know, it's 12:04pm but I did get in here before noon. ;) Then Shade decided she needed to go out to P. Took right care of the 10 minutes I had to post this before 12 o'clock......

Weather here has been so beautiful. Nice sun shine, moderate temps right in my comfort zone of 60's. Will love it even more in the 70's! Then it will probably zoom right up into the 80's and I'll be dying and crabbing about the heat!!!!  Typical woman, never satisfied, or at least hardly ever!

Soos if it wasn't for this leaky roof I would love to have a good rippin' thunder storm. (except for the mud) Nothing like it!!!!! It's just Gaia giving her earth a good drink and replenishing the water.

Gonna do some 'house keeping' outside today. Borrowing Jodie's rake to clean up what's left of the leaves and clean up all the little twigs and branches from the winter. Clean out and up our coolers. Might just see about getting the flat tire off here if Allen is home so that I can borrow his impact wrench. Will be going out for a couple errands and will stop in at the tire shop to check on the price of mounting and balancing the new tires. Also on the agenda today is giving Shade a much needed bath!!! Jodie left us her trailer key so that we can use her sink or tub to do it as long as we don't have hot water. I {{{shudder}}} at the thought of the coming costs to get this trailer back up in somewhat good shape. Roof, hot water, toilet, kitchen faucet and roof A/C. If we 'do' get jobs at Dollywood we are going to have to have the A/C working! It get mighty warm in TN during the summer and there's no way I could leave Shade in this trailer without A/C all day. Would love to repaint the striping on this trailer. I hate the nasty discolored orange and brown that's on here!!! Orange and I don't get along at all. It just seems like a bad luck color to me. Except for the orange stripe on here I own NOTHING else that is orange! First car I ever owned was an orange, hadn't even made the first payment on it and the then boyfriend totaled it. While the car was getting fixed I was driving an orange Honda road/dirt bike home from work and a parked car pulled out in front of me resulting in a busted leg and being laid up for a year. So yeah, I stay away from orange!!!!

Ok, time to go read and catch up. Hope today is a super fantabulous day for everybody!!! Be safe and be kool.

Love to all
