The Blue Marlin is far too off the beaten path for most visitors.
And heck, some (who shall remain nameless) come up with any excuse to high-tail it out of here way ahead of the originally planned number of days...

I am a visual person too, Mitch, so I loved the map you did. Remind me to send you my itinerary before the trip to PA this summer. No, not the gtg. The Goddess and I are meeting up with some geocaching friends at Chapman State Park which is on the other side of the state. Have been looking at different routes to get there. Poor Mitch sounds lonely. Perhaps the goddess and I should make a run over to west Tennessee and cheer her up. Next weekend's weather looks nice.

I actually lobbied for tennessee...... got out-voted.

Our next trip will be Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada. Probably next winter/spring.

You know Kerrville is at Exit 508 off I-10 outside of San Antonio? Just saying - you could stop by and get your official Flamingo glass.

Looks great but I'm thinking you have some long travel days in there and not enough stopping to smell the roses along the way. Are you sure you don't want to take a little more time on your travels?

I think there are only a couple days over 6 hours. For the most part, we tried to keep it around 4-5 hours per day.

Since this is a work-related trip, it actually behooves us to be in one place as long as possible before moving on. We may adjust though, if it gets too much. Also, with the way we are towing the truck, it will be a pain to set it up to drive for one day and then set it up to tow again..... so we are just gonna truck on through while on the road and settle in at our longer term destinations (Denver, Rockport, Kansas City, Kentucky, Howard.)
