The sun has risen with pomp and circumstance over Orange Lake this morning. Hope you enjoy. I'm off to help with a work day/clean up at church & hot dog lunch. See you later. Click for a video

Morning!
Looks like Orange Lake lived up to it's namesake. Loved the video, too. Thanks for starting my day!
Looks like that's the only way we can get any sun is by proxy.
Nothing planned, still raining, still dreary, still cold and damp. :x

good morning ladies, the sunrise is spectacular Liz
Slept good last night, don't remember waking up and coughing once. Think my bronchitis
has run its course and I'm on the mend. Now, if I could get a little more energy goin in
my system I'd really be a happy camper. Gonna have to do some nutritional research and
see where I am failing in the nutrition dept. Donuts is not the answer, perhaps I need a
little more protein in my diet.
The girls are still sleeping but they will be up soon enough wanting breakfast. Coffee is
hot, enjoy.

Good Morning Ladies,

It is a bit after 9 a.m., the sun is shining, going to be a georgeous day. And my stove has already been delivered and installed. And I already set the clock to the proper time, like I a need another clock in the kitchen here  I have one on the wall and one on the microwave, although the one on the microwave is starting to fade out as the lights behind the numbers are going. Well, the micro is 11 years old, so it too is slowy going. But as long as it continues to work, I am not getting rid of it. I love this micro.

Had to make an adjustment of the stove height already this morning as the plug in back was keeping it from going against the wall all the way. So I raised it just a tad to get it over the plug and was able to set it back a bit more. But the large box in back, that it plugs into, is still in the way and it can't go back to the wall where it should be. May have to "trim" the stove back a bit later on and see if it will fit. Don't like having a gap betwen the wall and stove. Things can fall back there. This stove is very easy to move compared to the other one, so that's a plus there. Don't want to raise it anymore cause it's already above the counter tops.

And cause the plug on the old one was still in great condition, the guys changed it over to the new one and now I can take the one I bought, back to ABC. That will shave $20 bucks off the bill. Then will deposit that $20 bucks back into my checking account to pay toward the tire replacement :) We certainly do spend a lot of time moving money around to everyplace except our pockets

Will probably spend some time today, going through the house and getting stuff gathered to put in my neighbors garage sale. At this rate, I will be down to RV mode before long. As is, I don't have much around here anymore. Just what I need to use for the most part. Nice not being cluttered with stuff. The feeling is so free as many of you know.

Girls are going to expect a nice long walk today and I will probably accomodate them when I figure out where. Can't go back in the woods nor can I get through the path between our sub road and the next road over due to the deep snow  It is going down, slow but sure. But I can drive them over to the next road and park either at my former house or down at the little township park and we can walk the road. Shall see. Right now it's time to get busy. Have a great day all.

Liz, love your sunrise picture. Where I used to live over on the lake, we faced west and had some spectacular sunsets over the years.

Morning. Great pictures Liz. I saw the sunrise this morning, but it was coming up over the houses, not a beautiful lake. Walked the dogs so they could check on the neighborhood. K2 came for part of the walk, meowing all the way, but then stopped and waited for us to get him on the way home.

This starts my spring break, so I'll have a week to get some spring cleaning done, either that or just sit around and read. Any bets on which one it will be?

Enjoy your new stove, Sue, and make some new happy memories with it.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Another beauiful day down here. I am still in Orlando, although Molly's itchies are so much better today after her visit to the vet yesterday, that I may still head over to St. Cloud and the new pool there. The kids are going to Tampa to the O'Briens', but Molly and I can enjoy the property. The vet was the best I have ever gone to, and Molly loved him----she is not really fond of most men as I think she was abused (kicked) by one when she was a baby-----but she really trusted this guy. He spent an hour and a half with us, doing a very thorough exam, cleaning anal ducts, which I requested, and prescribing medications to try. She got two injections and we came home with three other medications, one oral, and two topical. She is a new dog this morning! (And the price is about half of what I would have had to pay with our vet at home!)

So far I have visited the neighbors' who are having a yard sale today, watered plants, eaten brunch, and am deciding what to do next. I bought a bookshelf at the yard sale for ten bucks. I will need to paint it, but, other than that, it is in good shape and fits perfectly on the wall between the two sets of sliding doors. I have been looking for one, and there it sat, waiting for me to carry it home!

I talked to both Issy and my daughter yesterday, and they say it's been colder than usual back home, and it snows non-stop! Not big snows any more, just tons of snow showers that keep piling up as the temps stay below freezing most of the day. No plans to return there as yet for me-----won't consider the trip until after April, and then, I can take my time going back there.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday, and maybe I can make it onto the chatroom tonight if I go to St. Cloud.....for sure if I am here.

P.S.----as I write this, I am packing for St. Cloud----supposed to rain next week, so want to enjoy new pool while I can!

Good Morning everyone... yes Liz a beautiful sunrise... I slept right through it... good sleeping weather here cool nights and warm to hot days... will be 43 in Normal and mid 80s here in Ocala... again I vote for Ocala... sure hope the weather starts to moderate before I head north next week... will take my time and stay here and there a few days... I will not have internet unless I hit a place that has wifi... but that is the end of next week when I leave...
With laundry done I will start cleaning in here real good for my trip north... need to put orange glow on the wood it cleans and smells so good... will only do the bedroom today... then will bake a box mix of mississippi mud for the pot luck after church tomorrow... this is my last sunday there and I will miss each of them very much... but my home church is wonderful also... guess life is saying hello and good-bye so often...
Soos glad you found a vet that could help Molly...
May you all have a great day...

Beautiful sunrise thank you! I'm sure it was there to welcome you as you start your new adventure.
We have only cold clouds here with the possibility of snow tonight. But, I'd rather have this that bright sun and 95 degrees ;) Not much planned today I've missed yoga for almost two weeks, time to get back in gear.
I scheduled Winnie for the test for Cushings Disease at 9:00 Monday morning as she hasn't improved. I'm thankful that I only have to leave her there for two hours and they only do two blood test. I thought it was going to be much longer, but this time I talked to the vet. The office tech had said we had to have her there at 7:30 AM and she had to stay all morning!
Our, well technically DH, new iPad is supposed to be delivered on Monday and my friend from Fl is coming to town for a visit. It's good to have happy things to look forward to! I keep reading that you can make calls on the iPad so this should be interesting.

Soos glad you found a good vet and that Molly is feeling better!

27* and snowing. Am I cranky? YES! However I did make our groups reservations for our 4th of July camping marathon and even was able to secure our favorite sites! So something good has happened today! ;)

Shameless Liz, absolutely shameless!!! I see you got a Yellowlegs in the pic and I guess it is a Greater by it's shape. Liz I know you had a great morning and will be having fun with your morning work. Kathleen, glad that you are having some good resting nights. The drive home should be interesting weather wise for you as you will be following 'the spring north'. Soos glad you are going swimming and your words say it all - you have loved this winter, your first retirement winter! Love that Molly is a happy camper too. Pat, I am so sorry that you are still getting dumped on. Kim the time will fly and then when you hit the road it goes even faster every day. You just never have enough time for all the fun!!! BJ hope you baby does well and comes home happy. Ava glad you are feeling better and I hope that more protein will help you get your energy back. Rest as much as you can as working those two jobs will wear you down. All the rest of you gals...this is a great day for fun just keep it up.

Weather is looking good here at Potter's Creek. Sun is out in partly cloudy skies, cool breeze blowing in off the lake. Have plans to kayak Sunday, go to Borders on Monday with my 40% off coupon and get another bird book, Crossley's Guide, as it looks great, then to storage unit, Tuesday is laundry and grocery store, Wednesday is playday, Thursday is packup for travel on Friday. Looks like a busy week. Just never enough time for all the fun I need to have. So be safe on the roads, have fun then come tell us about it.

Afternoon all. Thanks for the sunrise pics Liz, they are beautiful.

Was going to ask Soos how she likes the new squirrel repeller but after this morning I don't think I need it. Three of the puppies saw a squirrel on the patio, way too close to the door and decided to bolt out and chase it. I use to have a sliding screen door there and had to constantly replace it from the puppies busting through the screen and bending the frame. I stapled up some screen and use velcro on the sides to keep it in place and use a baby gate to keep the puppies in. Anyway, before I could get the gate in place after spotting the squirrel, they just charged out. The squirrel probably could have outrun 1 dog but not 3. They had it cornered in no time. Trent caught it and attempted to kill it. It did get away from him and come back on the patio and held on to the BBQ leg. Cooper took it off there and proceeded to run away with it. She dropped it and Trent reclaimed his "prize", finished the job and took it to the fence where he showed off the "prize" to the neighbor dogs. Trent then dropped it, as show and tell was over, and Cooper picked it up and was strutting her stuff. Her brother Ozzy wanted to have a chance to hold it also, but that wasn't going to happen. It was Cooper's and she planned on keeping it and bringing it in the house, it was her "prize" now. LIKE THAT WOULD EVER HAPPEN ! :D :o She was so proud of the acquisition and it really showed as she sat waiting to be let in the house. I was finally able to get it away from her and she has been pouting ever since. Ozzy is pouting also because he didn't have a chance to hold the squirrel. Maybe news will travel fast in the squirrel world and they will stay away from the house. :D

It's going to be a cloudy and possible rainy day, with temps in the upper 40's. No real plans for today. All of you gals that are traveling, be careful out there. Linda

Yep, when I talked with my SIL yesterday he told me of a credit union that pays 2.75% on a checking account that you aren't required to keep it at a certain limit. He is switching his account over, so I went to check out the bank this AM. Ended up opening up an account. 2.75% sure beats the heck out of the .01% Chase is giving me! :o
The ONLY catch is you have to use the debit card 12xs a month and log onto their website once a month as they are a paperless bank so everything is done email/website. So I plan on using the account as a saving and when I use my debit card I'll buy 12 packs of gum or somesuch just to satisfy the account. The monthly interest will more than pay that back.
