Good Morning Liz and all,
Liz, that's great news. I can just feel your excitement.
You have been waiting and waiting and wanting to get on with this new stage in your life. Now you can go. Congrats and enjoy. I will certainly be enjoying your wonderful pictures as you journey through the country, footloose and fancy free.
It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the 45th, although a bit on the cold side. -8 again. This is unseasonable for this time of year, but it's on the way out. And after the big storm on Wednesday, that dumped us with 12 inches of snow, drifted it higher in places and closed schools, bussing systems etc., yesterday was just the opposite. Everybody had been out, plowed, shoveled, blew and what not to clean up, schools were back in session and by afternoon, our roads were all clear and dry. Only reminders of the storm are the high piles of snow everywhere and of course the snow on the ground. My drive is even clear right down to the blacktop. Mother Nature even helped despite being in the 20's, the sun is really warm. And I lucked out in that my nice neighbor across the road had the plow truck and also did my next door neighbors, so I didn't have to blow out her drive
. Just did the sidewalk alongside the garage to the porch, which was drifted knee deep, and shoveled off the steps (2) and part of the porch past the door. There's enough room along that sidewalk that I can get my big blower in there and it made quick work of that knee high drift. So hopefully this will be the last time I will be talking about these monotonous tales of snow and snow removal in the north country this winter.
It will be much more fun to talk about RVing, which is what we shoud be doing, when it isn't snowing, cold, raining, windy, or trying to sell homes, businesses etc. etc. etc.
As for me, it's FUN DAY today. I am heading to Traverse City in a awhile here to go to a small RV show over there. And look and browse and be among like minded people. It's not a big show, maybe 50 rigs from a few dealers around the area, and a few vendors, mostly campgrounds etc. But at least I can enjoy the RV lifestyle for a few hours. And no, I am not taking my checkbook
The big Camping World south of me will not be there as they are having their own on site RV show, but not the greatest week for that. I will not be going down there. Wouldn't surprise me if they extend it though as their lot is buried in snow.
So I am off the get cleaned up, wash hair and get ready to roll. It's about an hours drive over, but I will be taking my time as it's cold and will have to watch for black ice on the roads from the melting snow running across them. Got all day, what the heck. Show doesn't open till 11 anyway. Girls have been out, pottied and now are curled up sleeping. Tessa on the floor and Sassy curled up in the doggie bed by my computer here. All snug and warm.
Have a great day all. Beth, safe travels for your final miles to LIW. You are tangles up with that storm that just hit us.
