Welcome to the forum !!!! What a neat experience you have planned for yourself. You will find others on this forum, who have been where you are now, thinking they wanted to,and then going and doing it, so any questions, or fears that might come up, ask away, you'll find answers here. (maybe way more then you need :P )

The subject of older r.v.'s not being allowed in CG's, is something I had not thought of. I have a 1993 class C. My husband and I, bought it new and have always maintained it, and I have never thought it might be too old for CG's. Ummm thats food for thought.

So glad you have joined, post often, so we can get to know you.

Welcome Helen Marie! We'd love to hear about your search and progress toward the RVing lifestyle. As Tina said, your budget really depends on how you want to travel and what kind of rig you have, whether you have other expenses such as maintaining a house somewhere while you travel etc. But for the frugally minded, it is certainly doable on a limited budget! If it's what you want to do, you can make it happen.

Probably didn't do this right...........

Thanks everyone for your replies! Well, I'm not getting any further down the road but I'm still planning, have two notebooks full of advice, information, etc. It seems the prices are going up to me, so that limits me even more. I'll keep looking though, there's bound to be something out there for me. I'm really looking forward to fishing and hiking! I've always been a bit on the frugal side but I'll have to find jobs here and there for some extra income....especially with the price of gas nowadays.....whew! Well, that's where I'm at, haven't moved forward much, but not moving back.
