YES Lori! That's a great idea to have pancakes for Sunday morning breakfast. And I brought a half-gallon of real maple syrup! My older son is carrying on the family tradition of making maple syrup each year. He's at least the 4th or 5th generation and he's in his mid 40s already, now my grandson is starting to help out too. They have an old wood-fired sap evaporator. A real old fashioned system. But oh boy! does that sugar house smell good when they get it going.

So,..... that's warmed and on the table,.... yum, yum,..... (hint,....use real maple syrup in your baked breans and in place of brown sugar, for sweet rolls, etc.)

I was out late last night at a bluegrass show in Saranac Lake, got home 11:30 p.m.... wow, how do the young folks go out until the wee hours! I used to do that,... I'm really running slow this a.m.

Gotta get laundry and housework done,... so had better get started before I find it is Monday morning! Can't waste the day!

Goooood Morning to Everyone!

I'm up, I'm up. :x Don't wanna be but I am up. I had my alarm set for 8am but Shade woke me up growling then barked cause David and Jenny were making a racket this morning. Have no idea what time they got home last night? But Jenny couldn't find her keys and she had to go into work this morn. Seems like a friend of her's drove her car home for her last night while she rode with David. David then took the friend home. So at 6:15 this morn she was going nuts looking for her keys. David ended up putting a sweatshirt on, slippers and wrapped a towel around his bottom half to go out to his Blazer to look for keys. Yep he found them in the Blazer on the floor. sheesh She only has one ignition key to her car which befuddles my mind because she is forever misplacing her keys. She doesn't want to the spend the money to get another one because the key has a chip in it and of course costs more that a regular key. Told David it would be cheaper to get another key than pay a locksmith to come unlock the car like she has had to do before or to miss a day of work. Silly kids!!! David is now out the door cause he is going fishing with a buddy. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR Dummy kids!

Holy smokes it's a chilly one out there this morning. Good grief I checked the thermometer and it said 28 on my backporch! Time to drag out the winter woolies. Now I know that there are gonna be days that it will still get up in the 70's maybe the low 80's but them nights are gonna be getting colder and colder. Hard to believe and remember that Kelly and I were sleeping in tents at this time last year. Right up until the first of December when we rented and moved into this place.

Got to go into work today. I hate working a Sunday shift for this place. Go in at noon and get off at 9pm. Never did much care for working any kind of 2nd shift. But believe me I've done a lot of it. But dang the people have a livid fit when ya call them on a Sunday to collect on their credit cards. ~sigh~ I've been told it's illegal to make collection calls on Sunday depending on the state. But it isn't illegal cause we are calling from TN. I been told I'm gonna be sued, ok go ahead. Been told that I'm a sinner for doing that kind of stuff on Sunday that I'm disgusting for calling about that on a Sunday. Been told that business and money are not allowed to be discussed on the Lords day. So I've told them if they can use the card on a Sunday then they can pay on it on Sunday. :D It's a wonderful job. LOL Some of the reasons and excuses tickle the heck right out of me sometimes!!! Oh well.

Well I guess I had better do something here other than sit on my butt playing on the puter. Got dishes to do, laundry and other stuff too. Need to take a shower before I go to work or no one will want to sit next to me!

I'm adding some carrot muffins to the table. And at the natural foods grocery store the other day I picked up some preserves too. Got peach, strawberry, blackberry and of course blueberry. Heavens my mouth is watering already. YUM YUM

Hope ya'll have a great day, that you enjoy whatever it brings. Stay safe

Love to all

Chilly 48 degrees here in Ocala this am, so it's a healthy oatmeal breakfast for me. Good morning to all. I'm looking forward to attending my church this morning...it's been a long time. Then back to work here...time to tackle the overgrown shrubbery. It's supposed to warm up to a pleasant 78 degrees.

good morning ladies
I have nothing special planned today, normal routine stuff, although I am washing
up all my rugs, its time, haven't done that in a long time. Yesterday I moved a few
pieces of furniture around and will sort of finish with that chore,( gotta clean where
I moved stuff.) Vacuam real good and do a little spot cleaning on the carpets. I think
thats enough sunday chores and then kick back and relax. I know my life is so boring
and I never go anywhere but soon it will be time for my day trip to Gila Bend. :P
Been planning that for a whole year!!
Ok, the fresh coffee is ready, mm it smells good, and a couple pieces of toast and
I'm good to go.
Have a great day and be safe.

Good morning, everyone. Mmmmm ... the coffee is good this morning. I'm still sleeping with my windows open and the weather is beautiful. But alas! This too shall pass!! :D

Feeding the dogs is always an adventure. Kiwi is the picky little twit ... and Bandit is a heat-seeking missile. So making sure she eats before Bandit gets her leftovers is the trick.

I'm dipping my foot back in the reporting biz ... free-lancing an election piece for our university NPR station. It's HARD to get back in the saddle again. I'm working with different equipment and software ... but the piece is now about 95 percent done. Just need to tweak the sound here and there ... fix a mispronounced word ... that kind of thing. It's going to air tomorrow morning.

BTW, after comparing the cost of staying in western Colorado in my MH to the balance in my bank account ... don't think I'll be able to go there to campaign for Obama. Put in a call / email to the volunteer coordinator and she hasn't gotten back to me with someone who has RV hookups. So I'll work from here, calling Democrats in Colorado. Too bad. Sounded like an adventure!

Hmm ... maybe I'll take the MH out for a few of these last good days before getting it winterized.

Good Morning All!

I went out with some ladies last night - ended up at our favorite local karaoke bar. Singers last night were terrible - but that didn't bother me - cuz some nice man from Colorado asked me to dance - and we were all over that dance floor for the next hour and a half - till I left. I was dripping with sweat - and loved every single minute of it.

Now, I have no idea how, but rv parks and campgrounds, being the mini villages they are - learn everything before it happens. I took my time sheet down to the office this morning, walk in, and get greeted by one of the ladies working "There's the dancing fool!" LOL She swears she didn't get it from any of the 3 of us who were out - and we didn't see anyone else from the park last night. Who knows - again, it's a small world - and I sure don't mind that getting out.

Tonight we take our own steaks to a local bar - they cook them, provide the baked potatos - and we have dinner :) Sometimes one of us makes a salad or side dish for our group - but not always. Then most of us sign up to play in the poker tournament. Wish me luck - haven't won yet - have come in 2nd once and 3rd twice - but would sure love to win once :)

Make sure to go over to our joke and game room and check out the utube video I posted. I think we should play this at our gtg's :)
