BEAUTIFUL MARCH MONDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BEAUTIFUL MARCH MONDAY

Postby Colliemom » Mon Mar 14, 2011 7:48 am

A Good Morning to you all,

Beautiful sunny Monday here at the 45th this morning. Temp is around zero however, but will rise fast once that sun gets up a bit more. Our weather forecast for this week holds the promise of spring coming in. Temps in the upper 30's, low 40's to upper 40's even by end of week. And some rain is also forecasted later on. So those kinds of temps will melt down the snow pack here. We will I know have some more wintery weather before this month is out, but winter's grip is broken on us now, so what comes will not be around long.

This weather makes me want to get out and enjoy it and I will. The roads are in need of plowing by the county from the weekends snowfall and I expect them to be around today. Once that is done, then the melting process will take place and our roads should be getting bare very shortly again. The main roads are fine, it's just the hardtopped side roads that need to get melted down. The dirt roads of course will turn to mud. If the snow melts down as the week goes on, I will probably go and uncover all of my dwarf alberta spruce and pyrimidals that I covered in burlap last fall. The dwarfs are subject to wind burn from the cold dry winter winds, but now that the sun is warmer and spring is moving in, they don't need that protection anymore. Will give them the light of day..

And I also plan to uuzip the cover on my TT and open the door for awhile to let some nice fresh air get in there for awhile. Will leave the cover on for just a bit longer till the next cold and snow event comes along, which may be next week possibly. After that, off it comes. Then as soon as our nights stay above freezing, I will take it over to the dealers and have it dewinterized and all checked out before my warranty expires. After that it will be load up time again.

My little camping sign is done and as soon as I get it all put together with it's little hanging chains and all that, I will take the final picture and post them. Now it's time to work on the cover for over my stove top that I made last year, but never got a really good top put on that. Needs some laminate or something.

So things are going to start getting busy around here now that the days are getting longer and spring is on the way. And work too for that matter. Just about 6 weeks away. Have been debating about going to check on my SS today, but may wait till later this week. Will think about it for a bit here. I do need some milk etc. from the store, so may do that stuff today and head over to SS tomorrow. It's a 100 mile round trip from here, so makes a nice day outing. And the girls are getting cabin fever, so may take them along for the ride.

Time to be off and busy here. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning!

Sue, you are making me think about snow... and it is a definite possibility we'll see one or two more storms through here, but I am soooooo ready for spring. Got to do a sunshine dance for the weekend, cuz if it snows, the RV is NOT going to make it up our driveway this Saturday, as planned.

It's looking gorgeous here today and was a beautiful weekend.

Our new roommates will move in tonight. Will be crowded, but we'll manage. Heck, we raised 2+ kids in this little house (had a few extras over the years.)

Busy day all the way around. Hope you enjoy it!

No sun here, raining very hard. All the dogs refused to go out so finally I had to Charley out on a leash, the little dogs will use the paper. I was supposed to go to St Louis for a stress test today as part of my 100,000 mile check up but the weather forecast for there said hazardous road conditions and there had been several accidents due to sleet and snow. So...it took me an hour to tell someone I wasn't coming! The scheduling center phones were out of order and it took me over an hour to finally speak directly to find someone to transfer me to the stress test office. Everyone I tried to explain the out of order phone thing would say Oh, I'll transfer you and click, I was cut off again. Took a bit of research to find the main hospital number and be transferred directly to the testing center. The other funny ? thing was in the middle of this my doctors office called and said the test I had last week was 'normal', hummm interesting as the technician said she hadn't been able to see one of my 'parts' and was also unable to complete the full test. Maybe all this is the real stress test!!
The good thing this weekend was a couple from my Reiki class came over and did a great Reiki treatment for me, it was fabulous as a neck massage was also part of the package. What a blessing friends are!!!
Glad for those who have sun, our turn will come. Khenrie hope the snow holds off so you can get your RV up your driveway.

good morning ladies
still have the crud but feeling better. Took the last of my medicine last night, maybe go
get some more today and keep up the treatment that seems to help me function. Don't
know what else I'm going to do today. I have a whole list of stuff that reallly needs to be
done but a lot depends on how I feel when it comes time to tackle it.
Gracie not feeling too good with her tummy, she kept me up all night with tummy pains.
Gave her a dose of medicine left over from the vet the last time she had tummy issues.
Will pick up some yogurt for her as well and try to get her feeling better. She needs
more sunshine and more exercise so thats on the agenda for sure.
Coffee is good and a little oatmeal will get me started into the day. Enjoy your day and
be safe.

Good morning everyone!

I thought I'd try to get here today while it is still morning. The sun is shining today, the winds have calmed down but we're still on the chilly side with temperatures only getting into the low 50's today. But we're going to warm up nicely Friday and Saturday with temperatures close to 70 degrees! It'll just be a teaser, as it will still cool off again, but it will be nice while it lasts.

I hope everyone under the weather starts feeling better real soon and everyone else, stay well.

Dry here in lower Michigan today. Dry and cloudy all weekend, also. Just took my four amoxicillin so I can go to the dentist for a cleaning this afternoon. Need to premedicate because of my knee replacements. I expect I will need a root canal on one tooth since it has been painful to eat on that side for almost a year--since cap was put on last spring. Yech.

Supposed to get up to 56 with showers later this week--a real heat wave for March in Michigan.

Good afternoon, all. Stressful day here....am babysitting my 8 year-old grandson for 3 days...ack! Spring break for him, and his regular sitter is out of state. He's outside looking for 'bugs" in the yard now. We've been to Publix, Walmart, & Target. Going for another walk around the block in a minute.

Got a call from my sailing friend that her brother is having trouble with his sailboat...has to hire a diver to get to the problem. My trip to the Dry Tortugas next week may be off...or at least postponed. Double ack!

Off for that walk, then have an appt. to get my hearing aids checked, gs in tow!

Ahhhhh...! Hear that? It's called quiet.
Had the two GDs since Friday. They went home last night and both me and Choco crashed till 8 this AM.
But i needed to get going because I had to get to the dentist. Broke a tooth just before picking up the girls on Friday.
Just got home and as it turns out the tooth is already crowned and part of the porcline sp? Is what broke off the dentist isn't concerned and no pain so nothing further being done.
Starting to rain yet again. Still some neighborhoods without power after a wicked coldfront roared thru late yesterday.

Hello Sistahs!!!

Ahhhhh! Am enjoying having the door open and all the nice fresh air. It is beautiful outside! Wont be long at all and I will be sweating and grumping about the heat here!  As much as I hate the cold the heat just zaps the life out of me. I usually end up feeling like a limp, wrung out, dried up dishrag.

Nothing much really going on here. Brent the maintenance/now manager keeps telling us that we can't leave in May. He said he will chain the RV to a tree to keep us from leaving. I think he likes us? :D Did have a water leak outside the TT. Got a new fitting and Brent replaced it for me. Then the dang end of the hose started leaking, sooooo back to the lumber store I went to pick up a fix-it end for the hose. And Brent also did that for me. It's not that I couldn't do that much by myself. It's that I don't have any tools to speak of. The tools I had found a new home in my sons tool box. And this was with my blessing. But now Mom finds herself in need of 'tools' once again. ~sigh~ Right now I have a few screwdrivers, a hammer, pliers, drill bits and a crescent wrench. Oh and one socket and driver which I use on the TT's little stabilizer legs. So I will slowly be buying some new tools over the summer. Brent, bless his heart bought himself a new Ryobi Drill and new batteries. He gave me his old one. He said that it's almost as cheap to buy new as it is to replace the batteries. But he said that it should work just fine for me as I wont have the work load that he does therefore the batteries will last me much longer than they did for him! Now I only need a circular saw and maybe a jig saw. :D Could really kick myself now for giving my tools to David....

The great northward migration has begun for sure! We have been getting quite a few over-nighters here. 3 with Alaska plates in the past 2 nights. So the bathrooms have to be checked and cleaned a little more often. I am really grateful that we've got the bathroom cleaning job for now? But by goodness during the summer when it needs to be well cleaned every single day and with extra checking in the evening for supplies it should count for more than only $100 off the site rent. I can easily see why people look for camp jobs that include pay in $ too. Especially if they are doing more than just one set of bathrooms.

OK, gonna go see what ya'll have been up to. Hope everyone enjoys the day what ever it might bring. Be safe too!!!

Love to all
