Let's get together!

..

Here is a satellite image of the area that looks pretty good for satellite. However, it's not in the section along the water.

Image

This map was faxed to Doofus by the campground. It shows the site numbers, which are not available on any map on their website. Also, 3 different employees have no clue about which sites are "satellite friendly". ????

Vickie and I are looking at sites 114 and 115. From the satellite image, it looks like there's a slight chance there's a southern exposure opening at maybe one of those sites.

Come the end of May, Doofus & Dufus are planning a quiet little escape at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. Doofus is going to try and stop by Lake Chicot either coming or going. So, hopefully, we'll have a better understanding of the campground and individual sites at that time.

Because I met most of you last year at the Ar. gtg - this really breaks my heart to say, I probably will not be able to attend :(
Found out that C's DD is going to a conference in Orlando in mid Oct., so someone decided that we needed to take the kids to Disney World ahead of the meetings. Supposed to leave here Oct 6 and return the 11th.
Now anybody guess if I would rather be in Ar. with you crazy people, or in Fla. with a 7,6 and 3 year old????

Life just isn't fair sometimes

I'm a little slow to catch on to things around here.. but I just noticed that this gtg is at a state park. hahahaha.

This is a very very very good thing for me as I -love- state parks! They are my favorite places!

Everything I own with motorized wheels is in the shop right now... at a NEW rv shop. I have had serious reliability issues due to the work done in the past at the various gadzillion shops. IF this shop gets it right.. I hope to attend this gtg.

I'll wait until the rv is out of the shop before I reserve my site.

Hope to make this gathering and meet everyone!

Alice, the annual Arkansas GTG is always at a state park, (well, I'll ammend that, the first one was in Tn and was a COE park), but I think the goal is to try all of the parks in AR at least once! LOL!

And here in NW TN, we have a Wait-and-See attitude if the Mobile Marlin will be attending...G's camping days may have come to a close... :(
I'll know more at the end of May when we hook up with Vickie and Homer at CoD State Park.
He didn't do so well at my sister's a couple of weeks ago.

Just think of all the bad things Vickie can say about me if I won't be there to keep her in line...

It's pouring down rain right now, as soon as it finishes, I'm gonna run outside and try to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow so we can go.

I really don't mean this as a threat, (then maybe I do), but if you ladies DO NOT attend the Ark GTG, I sure hope you have plenty of boondocking space around your house !!!! We just may have to take the GTG to you. Provide our lovely company, food and hopefully some laughs for you.

So prayers going for both of you to be able to attend. These GTG's need you two, you started them. We only expect your company, no goodies, food etc. as you both THINK you have to do, just your person being there. It could never be the same or right without either of you. I HOPE YOU HEAR ME !!!!

Yep, what Carol said. And Tina. We'll have to hide some crap around for Alice to find, tho. Could be our entertainment if we give her the wrong gps numbers. Sit back with a cool drink and take bets on how long until she figures it out.
