Woo Hoooo. At long last the search is over. Last weekend sister Glimmer Goddess and I drove down to the Chattanooga area to look at some gently used rvs. Just as I was ready to give up there was one more. A little 24 foot Itasca Spirit. Just like Goldilocks, it felt just right. Took it for a spin and then knew it was right. Well, this weekend we went back and I got it! And talk about a trial by fire. It rained all the way to Ringgold, GA, all day while we were there finalizing, all night while we camped in the campground next door, and up till about 8am Sunday morning. I can be sure there are no leaks as I'm sure we would have discovered one if it was there. And having survived the Nashville floods last year, I admit to being a bit nervous until the rain stopped. We were pretty close to a lake it was did rise quite a bit. So we pulled out Sunday around lunch and the Goddess followed in my car as we brought it back toward Nashville (am considering a tow package and will consider all recommendations). I retire on May 31, the last day of school, and have a few sick days built up so I called in a sick day and we camped in Manchester at Old Stone Fort state park last night. So beautiful to wake up in the woods with all the wildlife. After lunch we pulled the cord and started out but noticed the back tire was loosing air so stopped to air up. Seems I was missing a valve stem cap. Took care of that and got back on the road. Home now and the seeker is parked in the drive. I think I'm suffering separation anxiety. Will try to post the few pictures we took so far. Having some computer problems at the moment. Yeah, me. I feel like it's a big step.Vickie
