Thank you so much for all of your prayers, thoughts and encouragement.
Today I drove about 500 miles. I am on the road at the Big Biloxi Campground in the DeSoto National Forest. Drove from Ocala where I spent the night at Liz’ soon to be former house.
Tonight, I didn’t drive around to check on how empty the cg is, but I only saw 4 rigs. There could be some hiding behind some of the trees in the park. But I knew that I wanted space 15 if it was empty. That site is really long. I backed my car in and then my rig. After I hooked the rig to electric, I hooked up my car and now all I have to do in the morning at 7:00 a.m. is unhook the electric, store the wire, the surge and put the plants that I take with me, in the rig and double check the wiring connections (signals) on the car and I am ready to pull out of the campground. Tomorrow I am planning about 350 miles to East Texas and spend Sat night there. This is a nice campground and for us oldsters that carry the Golden Age it is $13 a night. Not a bad deal. I gave it a review in that section of the forum.
Had considered leaving my rig in East Texas at a campground, but since then I have decided to drive it to one of the State Parks in Denison (about 400 miles on Sunday). That will get me within driving distance of the farm. Will see if I stick to that plan.
Had pretty good weather on the road, I-75 and 10. Did have some heavy winds between Tallahassee and Pensacola, closer to Pensacola. Gusts were 30-39 the weather guy said. It really blew me a few times. But once I headed out of Pensacola it was N NW and the wind was a pushing rear wind. Rained after I hooked up the rig around 5:30 until about 9:00, but the weather says it could go on all night. Sounds good as I haven’t heard rain since the ‘winter’ in Potter’s Creek.
Again thanks so much for all of your thoughts and prayers.
