Good Morning Liz and everyone else,
Beautiful pictures Liz. You do such a great job with pictures. What kind of a camera are you using? I love the one taken in the kayak.
It is hard indeed to leave a place you are comfortable with and enjoying. But at the same time, you know you will be able to go back and next time won't have a house to worry about. And that big wide open country is waiting for you to do more exploring too. I will find out this year, if it's in the cards for me as well. Good luck with your final move and closing on your house. Maybe you should take Soos back for a "Lobsterfest" celebration.
As for me here in the still chilly north country, I am not sure just where this day is going to lead. In a way, I am kind of in the mood to hit the road and take a little ride despite the darn gas prices. The girls would probably enjoy it too. Or we may stay home and do a few things here and then later go over to the park and do a walk.
I took our "furry boarder" up to the boarding kennel where he was originally supposed to go yesterday. It was just getting too much to put up with. My dogs were nervous and he was getting to where he would eat his food and then go eat some of theirs and if they happaened to come around, would snarl and charge them. So they couldn't get to their food either. And if I tried to make him stop, he snapped at me. That's when I decided enough was enough. It's one thing for a dog to make a slight growl at another dog when they don't want them to be near their food or whatever. Sort of a warning. But a snarling, snapping charge is another thing. My neighbor can't take him in either as she already has a houseful of dogs shes's sitting and has one that she says won't get along with Finn. So off we went. Actually he was really glad to see Elaine, the owner of the kennel/grooming business. He's been out there before and so is used to the place. So I think he might be more comfortable there. I'm sure he is going to get lonesome and maybe bored, but my girls are more important. I will check on him next week as Tessa is going out for a bath and grooming session. And then Sassy will go the following week. Elaine is really busy right now, so I said I would take mine out seperately so she doesn't get overwhelmed as they do take time to bathe, dry and groom.
But the girls are happy and much more relaxed now. Tessa is back in her bed next to my table here. Sassy just had "breakfast" and is outside enjoying the morning. So all is well in the dog world. They pretty much slept the day away yesterday. Very quiet around here. Just took a short little walk yesterday as neither of them were really into it. Today however.....
Ah, March is now officially here. And I did remember to shout 'Rabbits" this morning. The sun is working it's magic slow but sure, but I know winter isn't over yet. But before long I will be able to take the cover off my TT. Am looking forward to that day. But in the meantime, I will be finishing up projects etc. around here and getting ready for the outside spring cleanup chores which are yet to come.
Echo, when do you and Kelly head back up to the lodge for the season?
So have a wonderful day all. Enjoy it, have fun, travel safe if on the road, make plans, whatever.
