wanna be RVing some day

It might be 9 yrs before i can retire so Im thinking about something small (Casita) to start out with til retirement, just to get my feet wet. Then considering selling the house and living full time in 5th wheel in 9-10 yrs from now. Just depends on how I feel at retirement time.
Right now I live in TX and work full time . Im a single mom with teen age girl(who wants to go full time with me).
We have 2 cats, Bella is a pound cat that is 18+ and Bonnie is from a stray cat,shes 1+. We adopted a yellow lab mix , Zena, shes about 5 yrs old. And our toy poodle Sophie is 9yrs old.
I love adventure. Not afraid of trying something new.
In 1984 at the age of 30 I quit my job and drove solo from TX to Alaska. I ended up living in Alaska until 1988.
I had a great adventure taking that solo trip with my dog at the time. I had a small truck with a camper shell and every night I slept in the back in my sleeping bag.
Im older now and want more comforts(Toliet!, softer bed, cell, pc etc)..maybe Ive been spoiled a bit.
I love reading RV forums, it keeps the dream alive in me until one day I can aford it.
I just learned about RV forums since October.
This is my 3rd forum to join.
looking forward to reading and learning from all of you. and one day joing on the road in my own RV,

From reading about your previous adventures, I think you'll take to rving quickly, whatever method you go. I look forward to you contributing here often and to meeting you down the road.

That said, you don't say where in TX you are. Several members are in TX - and if near to Port Lavaca, you should head over the beginning of April and meet some at the gtg there.
