Pictures from Oklahoma
Oklahoma panhandle from Liberal, Kansas, Highway 64 east, then Hwy 11 to Medford, Oklahoma. Two lane highways all the way which was a very nice change from freeways. However, it was raining pretty hard and semis barreling down toward me at 65 MPH splashed water up pretty good—pretty scary in places—had to make sure I turned the wipers on full-force in order to see. You don’t get that on freeways very much.
Hay bales aka huge marshmallows (usually wrapped in white plastic, at least in Oregon)
Here I am parked at a picnic area along the road. They have lots of these – no real rest areas, so was glad for the RV bathroom.
Here’s lookin’ at you, kid.
Did you know Daniel Boone had a son?
Dinner on the hoof
From Kansas – Hwy 81 N from Oklahoma, then 166 east to Coffeyville.
Picnic area along the highway
Cheapest gas the whole trip in Caldwell, Kansas. However, I had just filled up about 30 miles away.
Little creek at the picnic area.

Ghost riders
Probably could have taken a lot more pictures, but it was raining pretty hard--and windy--most of the day. And, I was in a hurry to finish the last 340 miles from Liberal, KS to Coffeyville. Pictures from Independence and Coffeyville, KS tomorrow (or tonight, if my connection behaves).
