Birdie was nice enough to corect me on some of the birds in this post. Carol, you'll be happy to know that is not an Eastern Bluebird, but a male painted bunting. In looking up the pictures, he was with the female, but I couldn't get a good pic of her - and she's mainly green and yellow - blended in with the leaves in the trees. There were so many purple martins there, and I incorrectly named a grackle a purple martin - and I do know grackles - well, thought I did
The one I wasn't sure of (but was pretty sure was a juvenile) is a juvenile ibis (my thought, but I sure didn't know!) Anyway - I love taking the pictures and should give up naming them
