I didn't follow the race today. Thanks for letting me know and I do think it's neat!

It was more than amazing; it was a miracle. That was the first time he'd been in the Daytona 500 and he wins it...what a moment in sports history...And he was a Christian and made that clear during his interviews...I thought it was especially fun when he had just won and he burned rubber and drove in circles and went out into the grass and spun in circles...what a kick that was. His life will never be the same. My ex is a drag car and funny car driver, he always had a superior attitude over and made fun of the Daytona drivers so I didn't watch it for years...but I decided this year that since it is one of Amercia's famous sporting events I was going to watch it; am so glad I did.

It was an amazing race...so many records broken with cautions and lead changes. And yes it is very cool that a young kid beats them all. He managed to stay out of the way of all the crashes, and that's what helped him...see defensive driving works!!!! :D

I thought it was great !!! He couldn't seem to believe it, at first. It was also wonderful for his crew too, seems things had not been well for them for sometime, so all in all I thought it was just the right thing to happen. I always like it when a new person in the race happens to be the winner.

When these exciting things are on and I really get into them, I am soooo glad I don't have close neighbors. i forget myself and I'm cheering louder then the crowd
But there are several sports events that I thoroughly enjoy and this is just one of them. I'm just glad no one else hears me, they'd be calling 911 and afterwards having me committed :o  ;) Great race !!!

I ordinarilly don't watch any sports events, but I was glued to the race yesterday! What a thrill for this kid to win this huge event! I was plugging for Dale, Jr., to win, but was even more thrilled to see this unexpected boy become a champ! Was he excited, or what!!! Lucky LJ to have been there in person! I was cheering so hard at the end I am sure all my neighbors wondered what on earth was going on in here!

I usually don't watch the races either. But because LJ was thee this year, I did watch the latter part of it. And yes, he did very well in defensive driving. Loved to watch him spin off those tires and make circles in the grass, he was so happy.
