Soggy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Soggy Sunday

Good Morning ladies
we had a good rain all afternoon and into the evening, not pouring but steady gentle
rain, the kind that makes the flowers say hello :D
Catching up on the recent happenings, a tornado on the left coast, and the east coast
has a stick house sold, oh my goodness.
I got called into work a couple hours early yesterday and stayed later. Seems somebody
called in and someone else didn't show up. It was an interesting evening, worried about
getting fuel as the rain had the fuel card reader wet and inoperable. It finally dried out
by the end of the evening that I could get fuel, otherwise I was going to have to park
it on a quarter tank. That would not have been good for the morning driver. Another
driver (a guy) called in for a 10-100, (potty stop) and one of the other guys said over
the radio that the 10-100 was closed and to "tie a knot in it"! I thought that was so
funny but of course he got spoke to about that comment over the radio.
We're having a potluck at work today, the afternoon shift, and I'm to bring the green
salad. Easy enough :D and we all know I like easy.
About time for another cup of coffee and some oatmeal and then to check the weather.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Morning, Ava!
You are up early. Me, too. Don't know why. I was certainly pooped after 10 hrs of basketball games! Oh my aching butt, but was fun! My GD's teams did really well except for the 10 yr olds second game.( Her team is playing in a tourney in Oregon). They got hammered, didn't get out of the single digits! :o  Today she has to play again at 4:45. I think I'm going to pass.

My 9 yr old's team played their last games yesterday and they were both close but we prevailed. I'm attaching a pic of my DD (the coach) and my GD. She's the one with the super tender heart that I'm always asking extra prayers for.

Just gonna veg today. Well, that's the plan so far.
Continued prayers for those of you in need.

Good Morning ladies... love that picture Lenora... pretty girls for sure... her coach looks young enough to be a player...
We have a sun filled day here in Ocala...
I am still feeling a happy buzzzzz from Liz's news...
I am having coffee and trying to wake up... took pain med a few min ago... maybe the coffee will make it work faster...
The park 'rv' repair man is suppose to come this morning to FIX the water heater... I think he tightened it to tight the last time and it loosened another fitting beyond that one... sure they will pull it today and check it out...
All is good here I hope it is where you are if not simply hang on and things will turn around...

Hi everyone!

It's by no means Morning in MD anymore, but I'm starting to settle down. Went to my parents house this morning to deliver some meals to them. Some weeks they tell me what they're in the mood for but this week they told me to surprise them. So I bought a pound of fresh shrimp and made them shrimp scampi with a side of garlic bread for their lunch today. They had lots of leftovers and ate like there was no tomorow.

I have Roladen on for our dinner and the Nascar race is on. I've been to several of the races in Dover DE but I've never been to a race in Daytona, although my parents used to snowbird there for 17 years. Dad mentioned today that this is the time of the year that he doesn't miss Daytona.

We have snow flurries moving into this area tomorrow and Tuesday. What in the world happened to the 72 degree weather we had last week? But it is MD and the weather this time of the year flutuates.

Enjoy the last day of the weekend everyone!

LJ: A Shuttle launch has always been on my "bucket list" but I don't think there will be anymore launches by the time I am able to get there. I supposed a lesser launch for a satellite will be wonderful, but just not the same as the big ones. I always figured that television coverage doesn't show you the actual speed of the takeoff as they always show it in slow motion, do let me know how quickly it actually clears the launch pad towers. Hope you get some great shots...

Good Day!

It's a bit late here, but the kids just left so I now have some free time. We had a fun time out last night at a local bar and grill, playing pool, shuffleboard bowling, listening to a live band, and dancing a bit! My nephew met us there, and so we all had a good visit. We took a cab there and back, so we drank some beer safely. Today we sat around, chatting, eating snacks, I squeezed us some fresh orange juice, and got them to help me score the new lenses for the kitchen lights and cut them to fit.

Now I am watching the last of the Daytona races. I am really hoping that Earl Jr. will win----so far it's been an exciting race, with 11 caution flags already and they still have about 70 laps to go, I believe.

LP, where in Kissimmee will you be staying? My trailer is in St. Cloud, and, after Tuesday night when a bunch of us girls are meeting here at my house to go to all you can eat lobster place, I will be free to travel and visit. How about your coming here on Tuesday to eat out with us? I can PM you the address, as about 5 others are showing up Tuesday here at my house, around noon, before going to lobster. Would be GREAT to be able to meet you, too!!

Wishing you all a good day, wherever you may be and whatever you might be doing----I heard about the heavy winds and stormy stuff goin on up north again, and in the midwest, heading east again. Later......
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
