Ali Arrives

Ron and Ali got here a day early. After meeting and greeting we went to my rig for some wine and the official presentation of the Flamingo wineglass to Ali. For all our newbies out there, if you come visit me, I present you with an official Flamingo wineglass. Just another incentive to come meet me. Tonight we're going to my favorite Mexican restaurant. Its always so much fun to meet some of you face-to-face.

Ali and Ron, welcome to Texas. I am looking forward to meeting you guys, too. Haven't had Mexican food since I left Texas and I hope you enjoyed it. Take care and let us know how you are liking your 'new to you' home state.

Thought I had better pop on here and say thanks for all the welcomes to Texas.

First off, Karen is the best hostess ~ made us feel both very welcome here in Texas. And the wine glass is going to have a special place in my little kitchen. I may have to drink sweet tea in it so I can use it often. I just have to learn how to make it right. I know I need to buy a tea jar. My aunt told me that before we left McNeal, AZ. And you know it's important to follow what your aunt says to ya.

We had a great dinner today at the little Mexican restaurant. Sometime ask Karen about the dog playing with the balloons.

Tomorrow we move to D'Hanis and to the Lone Star Corral Escapees Co-op Campground. We hope to be on the road by 9:30 or 10 so we can get all settled in before we actually start working on Monday.

And yes, hubby and I are talking about making it to Port Lavaca GTG if only for a couple of days.

Thanks again for the great welcome Karen and all the rest of you Texan's out there and non-Texans too. I have so appreciated all your encouragemetn over the last 25 days we have been traveling.

So Karen, tell us about the dog playing with the balloons... :D

Ali, can't wait to hear how you like your new place and new jobs! Gotta be better than selling Christmas trees and traveling carnivals, altho those made for an interesting experience!
