I've taken a few pictures of my campsite & the campground, just so those of you can see what a little winter camping on the Left Coast looks like.
My little Hideout, car, and the infamous portable satellite dish:
The view from the back of my site. This is a very large campground situated around Lake Casitas. The lake was used for the 1984 Olympic Games and the park was the beneficiary of lots of upgrades. It's been well-maintained. The lake is off to the left of the stream, but I can't see it from here.
Looking down the street from my site. My SCCamper friends are down that way. When we have GTGs we each have to make our own reservations and often don't get sites together. This is a very popular camping weekend and sites are taken quickly. Notice the palm trees?
Looking up the street. I love the combination of tropical and forest with the different types of trees. The sites are fairly close together, but I've got nice neighbors. There are rarely shrubs between campsites -- takes up too much room, and space is at a premium in campgrounds. Good thing RVers are a friendly bunch!
I'll take some more pics as Jed & I go exploring. Right now he's chasing something in his sleep on the couch next to me.
