Left Mazatlan in the fog this a.m. and drove 185 expensive miles to the beach just south of San Blas. After parking we looked up and met George of Ms. Tioga and George. I've updated the blog to reflect this part of the journey. Enjoy. Also included pictures of tonights sunset - very different.

Carol have you ever seen the Cartel? the people here in Fl said they were warned not to go into Mexico... I know you have done traveling now for a while there so what are your thoughts?

We have neither seen nor heard of any problems in the areas we've been in. So far the Mexican people we have met have been the most friendly, courteous and helpful people we've ever met. The only person we've met who could have at one time been considered dangerous was an ex gangbanger from Los Angeles who moved back here because it is safer to raise his family here in Mexico.
This year we intend to return to the US through Arizona instead of Texas because we feel it is safer. We have in the past gone through Reynosa and there have been a lot of problems around that area.
None of the tourists or residents we've talked to have had any problems. It's like being in any big city in the states - we stay out of the bad areas.
Bill reads all the Mexican newspapers so he has a pretty good idea of what is going on and where we shouldn't go.
