I thought it was awesome.
And I still HATE Russell.

The Amazing Race starts this Sunday, too! Great show if you like anything to do with travel.

I always think they start off slow......it takes a awhile for more of the personalities to come out. The few that came out last night were very interesting. Kept wondering if the X-agent had ever watched Survivor.....he definitely didn't/doesn't understand the element of planning and surprise. His speech at the campfire was a shocker....

I don't watch that much TV, mostly Fox News (uh oh, have I lost a friend or two?) animal planet, and movies. Lenora, tell me about 'Amazing Race'..when you said 'travel' it got my attention. I admit I never watched Survivor with the exception of being in someone's home when it was on. My first impression was that it was not totally legit Who knows I could have gotten hooked like so many, just didn't.

I'm hooked on Survivor and could hardly wait until last nights new season. It was awesome!
And I still hate Russel and Rob and now the FBI guy, what a jerk he is. And my favorite smart
lady already got voted off, hope she gets to come back and kicks butt.

I got to watch the show and have to say I'm enjoying it right off, which is unusual. It generally takes a few episodes before I make any decisions on people, but I wish they would have voted off the gal with the idol instead of Francesca as I think she and the FBI guy would be interesting to watch together. Perhaps she'll be back.

Nancy: The Amazing Race. It's 12 pairs of people traveling around the world and having to preform tasks to move forward and not be last to get to the finish of each leg to avoid elimination. I keep trying to get my DD and SIL to sign up as I think they would be awesome on it. This season is all past players. Love the cowboys!!

@ Mitch: Yes, there was a rock group called Survivor--although they didn't survive too long--they sang the song, "Eye of the Tiger."

I'm not a fan of the program Survivor, but really loved the group! Amazing Race, however, is one of my most favorite shows. And some of the teams this time are teams I cheered on in earlier episodes...but they lost for one reason or another. And yet another show that is DVR'd and watched the next day while zipping through commercials...and I have to be careful not to overhear people talking about the show the night before or it's all ruined!

I was at the grocery store one time and two clerks were discussing the show and I had to cover my ears and started saying, 'Lalalalalalala'! They laughed at me, but knew enough to stay mum until I left.

Okay, I KNOW I made a "Survivor" post, but I guess I didn't pay attention and someone else was posting at the same time. Didn't hit the right key afterward. Pooh.

I LOVE "Survivor"! It's nice to know that I'm in good company on Wednesday nights. All of my friends know not to call during "Survivor" or they'll just get my voicemail.

Some of the people on this season are certifiably nuts. That ex-FBI guy is an "ex" for a good reason, if you ask me. What a moron! And the "immunity idol lady"? Humpf. I hope she gets booted out soon -- along with Russel. Or maybe they should go to Redemption Island together and slug it out ... that would be interesting.

What's appealed to me about this show is the interpersonal dynamics. I know, it's pretty contrived/scripted at some level, but I still think it gives us a pretty good look into how people operate. And at some level it's pretty sad.

But on a happier note, I also love "Amazing Race" and will be taking my portable satellite dish with me this weekend as I float my way through a camping trip. We're due for some major (really, really major) rains beginning tomorrow night -- hopefully. My goal is to make it to the campground -- Lake Casitas, for those of you who know the area -- and at least get my water, electric, and satellite dish set up. The rest can wait until the weather clears a bit late Saturday. So if you all would keep your collective fingers crossed that my 2.5 hour drive and set-up is uneventful I'd sure appreciate it. I'll have my netbook tethered to my Droid X, so should be able to check in once I land tomorrow.

what???? Mitch tried out for Survivor? hmm, I do think that sounds vaguely familiar, just hate
when I forget chit. Obviously you didn't make the cut Mitch, that would have been fun to
watch, but you should have drug Vicki with you cause they would have put you both on just
for the grins.
