RV Show Locations

Postby JudyJB » Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:10 am

I went to an RV show locally near Detroit last fall and was disappointed with the motorhomes on display. There were a lot of TTs and 5th wheels, and a few Class As and Class Cs. There is another show coming up at the same place this weekend, but I am concerned it will have the same problems. Its a MARVAC (Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campers show.

Can anyone tell me where I can go to find a show that specializes primarily on motorhomes?? I would be willing to travel within Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio or even a bit further.

I had also thought of visiting some dealers of used and new, just to look, but the weather is still too mucky. Maybe in late Spring when it warms up and the ground unfreezes and dries.

Thanks

When the Expo on Portland, OR, or the Tacome Dome in Tacome,WA, puts on their Rv shows, you can go to their website and see the list of dealers that will attend and then get an idea of what will be at the show. Or can call some of the dealers and see what they will be bringing. JMHO.
Perhaps you can Google RV shows in the surrounding states and something will show up?

Judy, Every show is different - depends on who is putting it on and what dealers will be there. I also recommend seeing if they have a website with a list of who will be there. And if the dealers are listed, call and ask them if they'll have many C's or whatever you want there. I was very pleased with the C's at the Tampa RV show - not always the case. Some shows are put on by a specific dealer - and some dealers don't carry C's.

Doing some searching, I would expect the show this weekend to have some of everything. The question is how much. Here's a link with phone #'s - you could call and get an idea: http://marvac.org/rvshows/detroit/MARVA ... etroit.pdf
