Let's get together!

Oh Boy Lori, such choices. Now let's see. :? It would be hard for me to choose cause I want to see both areas. Gettysburg has been on my list for years, but so has Lancaster County. Think I wll let those who are definitly going to be able to go make the choice and once the date is set and park chosen, then I will see if perhaps I can get it in my schedule.

What about State Parks? Aren't there some around those areas too.

Lori, I'm not sure I'll be able to make the September dates (GD and school), but will make sure I'm available for any of the other dates you all come up with. It'll be good no matter where!

Lori, thanks for the update. I will arrange my schedule around whatever suits the majority. I have been to the Ferryboat Campground and love the view of the Susquehanna River but always enjoy trying out new places. As soon as a place is chosen, I will arrange to take off from work.

Most PA state parks electric hookups only....and that can be 15amp to 30amp....and cost approx. $24/night....and I know most here want at least 30amp/water hookups....

Okay, keep the opinions coming ;) love hearing from all of you....

There is another option. Most likely I won't be able to go if in the summer - unless maybe make a day trip one day. If there is enough interest in both a summer and a Sept gtg - we could do both. I know there are people already posted Sept would be better for them - and others who say they couldn't do Sept. So give your opinions - and decisions will be made :) The sooner the better.

Beth, I saw your post in the General Messages, and I am good for wherever or whenever the GTG is. As soon as I know of an early and/or later GTG, I will give notice at my job. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing what we can bring for the eats.

Me too, makes no difference. I'll do my best to come to where ever. (Or maybe even both if there's two)

Well then, maybe you could do two. Those who want to go in Sept or Oct could do Beth's park and the others to Lori's. Looking at the map tonight, and getting a general idea of where what is, my thoughts are that maybe using a central park like Ferryboat would be good. It's a pretty direct shot via exway for those of use who would have to come over through OH. It's also central to everything. And what women would turn down CHOCOLATE especially near Hershey. But if there is enough interest in touring Gettysburg, then I would go that way. Ferryboat would be nice with the river, those of you with kayaks could do that, anybody wanting to go to Gettysburg could car pool down one day and Bird in Hand can be done another day. I think a lot also depends on just how bad everybody wants full hookups as opposed to just electric and carry our water on board to save a few bucks as to what kind of park they want. How many days are we talking here anyway? Just my thoughts at the moment.

I'll be back East this summer. Emptying out a storage shed Bethers warned me about in the first place. ;) (2 years later;) I'm a Winter Texan and need to be back on Sep 1. I know, I was supposed to be semi-retired, but my German work ethic took me back into another mode. So, I will definitely catch up with all Y'all while I'm there. How's that for Texan speak ;) Just probably can't make the actual "rally". Just hope to have a date for Shady Maple Smorgasboard while I'm there ;) I'll even treat :) Dyin to drive down Hershey Blvd and smell the chocolate and see the kisses lamp posts :) Ahhhh...a taste of Hershey heaven :) And, eat some "Good" potatoe salad! None to be found in TX. Although, the BBQ is good :)

Cya soon!

Love ya's,
Sharon

Beth, sign me up for the fall gtg at Lake in Woods ( will be there if there is a gtg or not). Lori, I am game for two gtgs so await your date. I do prefer full hookups but do not have a preference for location. Sharon, my Mom grew up in Pa. so I know how to make Amish potato salad, it will be my contribution at the potluck. Come on Spring.

As an edit, the only date I cannot attend is June 25, which is the date for our annual family reunion.

Shirl,

Would love to meet up at a gtg with you :) Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to miss both PA rallies. I'm not leaving TX until the end of June and need to be back Sep 1st. However, I will still terrorize my PA sisters while I'm there ;) Would love to meet up with you too! :)

Love,
Sharon

Oh Sharon - how could we not have a gtg you can make? How unthinking of us! Will have to do a mini gtg at least and gorge ourselves at Shady Maple and see if anyone else is in the area at the time. After I didn't make it to TX this winter as planned, sure hope we are able to see each other some time this summer!
