I'll still be working in PA - but will be there in spirit :) Looks like a great location.

Looks good to me.
If I read it correctly, they offer a 5 day for price of 4 on cabins (maybe campground too??) good Sunday thru Thursday. I'll likely take that option if no RV yet.

OK, I'm back for a few days...3 to be exact...so what's the news or info on the CG? Vickie, have you checked on which loop we may be going into? Got my reservation in Fayetteville for the week before, got my cruise reservation for Sept, shopped the big Kohls after Christmas sale for some new cruise clothes, got some new jeans for bike rides and I'm ready to rock n roll!! YeeHawwww!!! Now to just get thru the summer without being bored out of my skull.

Sharon, we're thinking the waterfront area, but I'll try to get the call in tomorrow to check on the length of those sites. I think Mitch is thinking about a couple of the sites just across the grassy area, looks better for the satellite.

Google Maps - Lake Chicot State Park, AR.
We then both downloaded Google Earth and the pictures are a little clearer.

The first two is the entire park:

This one is a better shot of the sites on the west side. You can see a couple of RV's parked in the sites by the water & boat dock.

All I see is trees....and more trees...so I'm gonna trust you guys as far as sites go, you haven't done me wrong yet and if I can't get satellite I always have plenty of books to read! Don't suppose they have any pull thru sites? If not, Vickie did a mighty fine job of spotting me in Tn! LOL! I just told her where I wanted my back wheels to go when I started backing and she did the rest!

Sharon, I added another pic to the above post, it shows the different site areas, but not the individual site numbers.

Oh and I didn't do anything but tell you when your hookups were close enough, it was your expert driving/backing skills that put you where you wanted to go!! :D

I just got off the phone with Angela at the park. All sites in area F are 65ft. water, sewer & 30A. Area D is Water & 30A. She faxed me a campground map showing the individual site numbers, that I will scan and post this evening when I get back from delivering Ronnie's niece's birthday present. I've had problems in the past with scanning, so if I can't get it to work, I'll just fax it to Mitch, so she can work her wonders! :D

Hey Gals, count us in. Cheap sounds good to us because we will have just gotten back from the over 5,000 mile , 3 month trip we are planning this summer and probably need to slow down. Chico is only 127 miles from where we store the camper at our camp in north Louisiana. Very close. Now, we are gonna need satellite reception, so tell us what loop we need and we will reserve in that loop.
Yipee, another get together with "The Girls" Looking forward to seeing George and Ronnie. Oh, and of course you girls too.

Beth, if you look at the white map, campground layout, on the left along the shore line, where there is a boat dock, in small print it says F 112-127. Looks like a really great park.
Marslet said cheap, what are the fees again in that area, I love along the water.
