Put a plastic bag over the foam to slide it into the cover. It will make it slide easier.

Carol I love the changes you made in Jenny. I love what you have done with the cabinets in the bunk area. I would love to do something like that, have a place to put books and things that just slide off now. You all did a great job.

We live in a 5th Wheel so our set up is different than a coach...that said:
we went with the table as I'm over weight and hate hate hate sitting in booths yes we gave up storage
but I much prefer sitting on chairs and even like the looks of the table and chairs better
we ordered it with out chairs and bought a lazy boy we measured and measured and all that it had to fit
in the back when the slides go in turning it side ways works and we haven't had any problems of it launching partly because
the slides almost touch not quite but the chair can't go between them... had one problem with it bouncing but when that happened
had lots of other stuff that bounced as well...
we have a sofa the hide a bed kind dh doesn't like it and wants to make something different we will see
it's so important that you make it work for you!

Never, NEVER ask Mitch to sew something for you, bless her little pea pickin heart, she sure tried!
(she actually did pretty good, just gave me lots of chuckles and it worked out okay for the Mobile Marlin.)

This entire thread has been wonderful to read, from Carol's neat pics of Jenny to Mitch's link to foam cushions. I have saved some of the advice in a document, and have bokmarked Mitch's link. I love seeing what changes and innovations we all make to our living space!

I agree Soos. Reading and looking at what others have done or want to do certainly gives one some fodder to chew on. Lots of ideas out there. Sometimes you have to see what others do or are thinking in order to get your own creative juices flowing. I've already got a couple of ideas for my TT. And also for a future rig.

My Lifesize Vickie Doll

Postby mitch5252 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 11:44 am

I sewed a lifesize Vickie doll so I could always be with my pal...
I think it turned out pretty darn good!
(poor George was my model)

Such talent Mitch. Now don't confuse George with Abby when getting ready for the nighttime doggie walk. :D Linda

George looks like the abominable snowman!

There are some comfy reclining chairs that are smaller in size now...
Here is a page of some Euro recliners that would easily fit in an RV.

Figures....the one I like is the $800 one.

Sharon, Have Pete check who makes the one in his rig - it's super comfie. And I agree, the only one I liked on the Walmart page was the $800 ones. That said, if you need a chair for your back, make sure you sit in it before buying. They are not made one-size-fits all. But some salespeople like to tell you they are.

I put this glider/recliner in our 5er....comfortable enough for me to fall asleep in when I'm reading. And it's lightweight.
