Good Morning everyone,
I have been on this computer for over an hour, reading and catching up on posts. Was hoping somebody would have started some coffee this morning, but I guess I decuded to get some brewed. All ready so come grab a chair and sit and chat for a bit here.
A beautiful clear morning here at the 45th this morning, sun is rising in the east and trees are all frosy from the clear night last night. It is a bout 10 degrees, was 2 when I got up. This day marks the beginning of a warming trend for this week. Temps are predicted to climb into the upper 30's and 40's, with rain showers for tomorrow afternoon, on and off into Friday afternoon. Then a cold front with snow showers Saturday and Sunday before warming up again a bit on Monday and back down again. So the battle of the seasons is beginning. But winter isn't through with us yet I am sure. March can be tricky weather wise. Just when you think spring may be here, wham, a foot of snow comes along the unfortunate part of this thaw is that it is coming just before a big holiday weekend for the winter sports businesses and I am afraid the snowmobiling is going to be in pretty poor shape, at least here. The trail base is already starting to show dirt.
As for me here, the tax man cometh today And I have a few errands to run, plus pay my truck insurance. So the snowmobiling isn't going to be the only thing in poor shape, so is my check book
I got my living room, hallway and computer room all spring cleaned yesterday, so that's done. Just the kitchen cupboards/pantry and mud room left to do. I was on my knees yesterday, washing off a lamp table when I accidently dumped my pail of Murphy's Oil soap and water. all over my Pergo on the living room floor. Needless to say, my pant legs, knees, and slippers got wet. Got the sponge mop and cleaned it up, so the floor got a good cleanng despite the fact that Pergo doesn't like to have a lot of water on it. Decided that I won't have to worry about arthritis in my knees for awhile as they got good and oiled
Will be glad when time comes to get out in the yard and start doing some cleaning up and getting ready for summer. My deck needs a new coat of paint this spring too. And tractor is heading to dealers for a routine checkup and new mower blades. I grease, lube etc. on my equipment myself, but about every two years I send them to the dealers to get checked out good. And then it will be time to start getting "The Trailer" ready to roll again.
This coming weekend is the annual Polar Plunge at the park. It's held there every year. So will go watch the folks take their winter dip for Special Olympics. Always lots of laughs and fun. It's part of the State Police Torch Run for Special Olympics BRRRRRRRR..
