Some new pictures of the areas around Mazatlan

Postby asirimarco » Mon Feb 14, 2011 7:41 pm

I've done some updates to the blog about our latest adventures here. The laundry ladies at the hot springs, the cliff divers with video, Devils Cave, the petroglyphs and a few other things.
We are thinking about leaving Mazatlan this Friday and heading south. No for sure plans yet. We do know we want to go to Aticama to meet Tioga and George and to Guadalajara and Ajijic to see my cousin. Then this year we will go back to the US up the west coast - don't want to go through the Nueva Leon area of Mexico.
It still remains below normal for the area with day time temps only about 70 instead of 75. Nights get pretty cool. Inland though it is pretty warm today at La Noria it was 90. Just between the RV park and the freeway there is a 5 -8 degree temperature change to warmer.

Really wonderful blog posts, Carol. I am really enjoying the adventures you have and the way you capture the "flavor" of the places and people you encounter.

Please be careful around Guadaljara. As much as I like that city, the news is full of problems with drug gang violence, especially at night.

I'm sure you will find local people who can fill you in on the danger areas. This is all brand-new stuff for Guadaljara.

When we're in Guadalajara we stay way out of the actual city with the RV and only go into the city during the day. Never go to the "night life" spots anyway.
But we never go into Indianapolis at night either......
