Hey ... wasn't sure I'd be able to post.. was having to up load all new software.... YIkes... but we made it in.. oh for any of you traveling down 95... and stopping at Flying J's... the one in Brunswick GA .. no longer has a dump station... a lot of them are now closing them down...aren't they wonderful... mmmm and to think... that was always my last stop to dump my tanks.. and so I thought ok... I'll head on in and dump at a campground... wrong.... 50 bucks to dump your tanks... joy to the friggin world... can ya just imagine... but next time.. I'll stay at a campground night before coming in if I have too.... I'll start checking around locations to find a cheap place... on my way in.. even if I can just dump for under 20 bucks worth it..

That was another interesting thing that happened too... Right now we are in the house getting things caught up and cooking in the motor home and sleeping in the house... LOL different but hey works for me... and for all of you... My Charlie welcomed me home.. Yep the hawk came back and flew up on my motor home and proceeded to gripe.. and I do mean loudly... my neighbors came out to greet me too.. and were telling me all that my darling hawk Charlie did... yep and this morning he was there on my water fountain... so you can bet I'm gonna attempt to make contack..with gloves... LOL

Anyway... Floor should be done on Thursday... hopefully and we can move the rest of the things back in... nice to have a normal household...

Miss you all.. and I've got lots of reading to do before I can catch up....

It will most likely be a few more weeks and I'll be catching you all in the mornings...

Ok.. that's it need to get my legs up and lean back... it's a beautiful day in the neighborhoood...

Hi there Barbzeee. I'm so glad you made it to Wildwood and will soon be settled in. All your check lists and preparation were worthwhile. I bet your family will sure miss all your entertaining this winter! I hope you can hook up with some of our forum sisters soon.

Too bad flying J's are taking out their dump stations. I wonder why? A trucker we met in Florida wouldn't even go to them anymore. He said lots of them are being bought up by foreigners and one he knew of stopped allowing trucks but we weren't sure whether he meant they couldn't sleep there or go there for fuel. I thought that was pretty preposterous...not allowing trucks at a truck stop.

We saw a book of places to dump along many major routes, but I'm not sure where I saw it. You might be able to google that info as well.

Barbzeeee.....Glad you have finally landed in Florida!!! I'm sure you will be happy to get settled in for the winter....

Info on RV park/campgrounds in GA......and dump station.....Exit 90...there is a Love's truck stop that has a dump station right up front and it's right off I-95.....also since Holbrook Pond campground at Ft. Stewart, GA allows civilians to camp there you can use the facilities....i.e....just the dump station...$5....if you are spending the night, the dump station is free....let me know if you like to visit and I'll send you the contact info.....the campground is about 17 miles from I-95 so may not be convenent for you.....ALSO at Exit 91 or 92 is Savannah Oaks RV Park....located near I-95.....never been there, but understand it is nice....don't know their price for site, but do know that your price at Ft. Stewart is $15....Just some options for you the next time you travel in GA on I-95....

Good to hear that you made it okay. Flying J used to be our favorite fill up stop for fuel and tummies. In fact stopped at one today I-65 just south of Indianapolis and they still have RV dump and islands, but diesel is higher than for the trucks. Also pay first then pump, then go back and get your change. But can't blame them for that.
Also saw one of the highway patrol cars - BRIGHT red mustang - he had someone pulled over or we wouldn't have know it was a police car.

Heyyyyyyyyyy Barbzeeeee welcome back to Florida. Next time you need a place to dump come on an stop by my house. I had a dump point put in my sewer pipe so I can dump at home now. I got tired of searching for a place and paying outrageous fees so decided this would be a solution.

We need to plan a get together soon!!! I am getting the itch.

Another thought - is the Camping World off the highway in GA - dumping there is free. Chances are you might even find something in the store to buy LOL
