My trailer is exactly like Laura's and Jed's----a Honet Hideout 19FLB.

I have removed the dinette table and one bench near the back corner bed, and now it seems as if I have a slideout even though I don't! What a lot more room it made in there. My front sofa flip bed is very comfy, nice and long, and a perfect place for either me or a guest to sleep. Let's see if I have any current pictures of what it's like inside to include in this post.

Looking into bed area and bathroom with dinette bench removed. Computer chair, which folds up, in place for table which replaces the dinette table.


Dinette area remodeled. Table is removable and has legs folded up to sit on top of two plastic cabinets of drawers. Foldable chair for computer work is in right side of pic. This makes a ton more storage space and lots more moving-around room across from kitchen.


Sink area (messy in that shot) with sunflower decor just fun-tacked in place over original icky trim. Valences are just safety pinned up!

And that's my camping area. If I could learn to be more at ease with hauling the darned thing, I would love it! I love it now, when parked! Sigh!

I own a 2005 Komfort 5th wheel.... I just purchased it a couple of months back and havent really had a chance to get out with it.. I did take it to the nearest park for a test run... I showed pictures on ORS site....In April i am going to be hosting at Millersylvania state park so i am really looking foward into being there..
After that i will ramble to the beachs for a few outings...

We presently full-time in a 2007 R-vision Dodge 5th wheel and haul it with a 2008 Toyota Tundra....it has 1 slide containing a jack-knife sofa (which I hate) and booth dinette. A good size shower/tub (sized great for grandkids under 7 yrs. and/or medium sized dog to bath in.. ).....good size fridge, cook top range with oven (never used...hate it....it's our bread box... ) and microwave...good floorplan and comfortable....but like everyone else, need a little more storage....and an awning screen room......

Before the 5er, we started our full-timing life in a 17ft. Shamrock Hybrid TT....towing it first with a 1998 Ford Explorer SUV, then a Ford F-150 truck....

His name was "Shamus"

We are looking to trade this spring or summer for an Open Range 5th wheel,the RF287RLS,....It will be our SS retirement home on wheels...it has real curtains and shades (no mini-blinds) more storage space, 2 slides, hide-a-bed sofa, table with chairs....and a place for the garbage can....

We love our life on the road and our home on wheels....

We started out with a ‘77 22’ Brougham TT in 1988. I bought it one day and came home and told DH that he had to go haul it home. Needless to say he was a bit surprised. It looked a little rough but with a wash and wax, through cleaning inside and new window treatments it shaped up nice. The boys were 1 and 3 and we had the best time in that camper. By 1994 we were starting to learn a little too much about camper repair and decided it was time to trade up a little. We bought a ’85 19’ Wilderness TT that was in very nice condition. Dumb move we kind of forgot the boys were bigger and we had acquired another dog. But it worked out because by that time the kids wanted to sleep in a tent. In ’97 we fell into a fantastic deal on a ’88 28’ Mallard. Thought I had died and gone to heaven when we had a real bed and I could get up in the morning and make coffee and sit at the dinette….the boys were still camping with us but tenting it…we weren’t total embarrassment to them quite yet! I loved that TT but DH was leaning toward a 5er. So in ’08 we bought the ’99 28’ Coachman Royal with a 16’ slide that we have now and sold the TT to our friends who wanted to try camping without a major investment, so it still goes camping with us just about every time we go out and I get to visit it! The 5er is perfect for just Radar and us….the kids have long since dumped us when it comes to camping! We’ll be keeping this rig for a couple more years and then start looking for our retirement home on wheels. Don’t want to have a huge investment in a toy right now because with both of us working full time we only have about a 4 month period that we can use it. Doubt we’ll ever full-time but will probably head south for part of the winter.

I don’t have digital pictures of the first three campers but am posting a picture of the boys with our first TT….looks like hillbilly heaven. I laugh every time I look at

I have a 2003 35' Itasca Sunrise purchased in 12/07. Her name is Somewhere and she has 2 slides and lots of storage. Only thing I hate is the carpet which will not be there much longer. I wish I had 50 amps but that is only in the summer. I tow a 2006 Chevy HHR (aka Grey Goose) with a blue ox tow bar and use an add a brake for more stopping power when towing.

I have a Sea Eagle 330 kayak that rides in the back of Grey Goose so I can stop when I see someplace convenient to kayak. I carry way too many clothes but can't seem to part with them even though I haven't worn most of them for 18 months. (I'm working on that though.) I like staying in one place for a least a couple of weeks or more. I'm not a camper but I love this lifestyle.

Sedona is my furbaby and she serves as my copilot in her car seat while traveling. She's shy and not sure about all this traveling but she'll just have to suck it up. She keeps me a lot of company though.

I love meeting the women on the forum at gtgs, mini or maxi. What great support!

In the last three years I have put 13,000 miles on my "Escape Capsule" -- a 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationer Class A motor home. It is powered by a Ford Triton V-10 & has two slides. I tow a 2001 Honda CRV using a Blue Ox towing system. It is "navigated" by my tomtom GPS unit. This is my poor lonely rig last winter:



It has taken me from Utah to Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Louisiana. I travel with my little snotty dog, Kiwi, a 14-year-old Lhasa Apso.



Last year I had the carpet ripped out and engineered hardwood (laminate) flooring installed.



Next week this will be the view of the Escape Capsule as it is loaded on a ferry en route to Friday Harbor, WA.
