Let's start our day with a good morning here.

May the wrath of Jumping Jehosophat come down upon those puppy kickers! They really don't belong in a park with any other people or animals. Thank heavens most campers never would act in such an evil, nasty, cruel, repugnant manner. Makes my blood boil to hear about this kind of behavior. Gotta settle down now and get some supper, before my blood pressure hits the critical level. Poor little Wrigley. GRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Congrats, Laura, for finidng Max's home and probably saving his life.

Happy travels!

I'm against dog kicking in any form but will add a suggestion...and that is to think about which leash to use when. If I know that I am going to be around a lot of people I don't know and or have stuff in my hands, I usually try to use one of the 6 or 8 foot leads. It is just easier to communicate to the dog quickly and keep them better controlled. The flexi leashes get tangled so easily around people, other pets and environmental hazards...... Puppies will be puppies....

I have tried one of those retractable leashes and do not like them for that very reason. I have been with my GF who uses those and have seen her struggle to try retrieve her dogs when meeting up with other dogs/people/or wild animals.
Although we love our furbabies and don't see any reason to be afraid, we can't know how others feel around dogs, or what past experiences they may have had.
Sorry that happened, tho. Breaks my heart.

I don't like standard leashes anymore - never did like 6 or 8 foot leashes, as they always start dragging on the ground, etc. BUT, when in certain situations, I love the retractable - usually much shorter - at 3 or 4 feet - to keep the drag from happening, and to keep Peaches right at my side. When in situations where I tie her outside - like yesterday to do a book exchange here - I lock it fairly short and wrap it around something. Unless people go up to her, there is no way for her to get to them.

hahaha - where would we be without it - hmmmm - could tell you all the nicknames I've been called - but you can figure them all out for yourself. I actually prefered them to the nicknames my very tall g/f was given.
