FRIDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FRIDAY MORNING

Postby Colliemom » Fri Feb 11, 2011 7:19 am

Top O The Morning to You All,

Well, guess I'm the first one up this morning. Coffee's started, so come on have a cup or two or three or......

Bit chilly here at the 45th this morning. Temp is around 1 degree above. But it's the end of this cold spell for awhile. All uphill from here. Tomorrow the temps are going to start rising and by middle of next week, they say we are going to have a thaw for a few days. Temps in upper 30's and 40's. Rain mixed with snow is forecasted for Sunday and into Monday. Snow forecasted for tonight. I have about 3 inches in my drive now. Enough to blow out and the county plow threw a bunch in off the road yesterday too. But have decided to leave it till after this front goes by tonight and will clear it all out in both drives tomorrow. That should take care of it for awhile. Sometimes when we get rain mixed with snow, it can accumulate, but is heavy stuff and better off just left alone unless it gets too deep. With the warmer temps coming in, my drive will start to melt down as the blacktop holds the warmth.

Spring cleanng is progressing nicely here. Not a whole lot left to do as far as wall washing is concerned. Just my computer room here and my hall/living room area. Will leave mud room for later. Then off to clean out the kitchen cupboards and pantry.

I am really looking forward to the warming trend coming in. Will allow me to get into my TT and do some measuring for new storage totes and also settle the snow down, which will make the girls happy. When it does that and then refreezes during the night, it makes it hard enough to walk on and we can expand our boundaries back into the woods again.

So this mornng, I think I will run into town. Need some lettering for my little campsite sign since I am not a freehand artist when it comes to painting lettering on things. And pick up a few things besides. Don't know if I will do any cleaning today or not. It's not going anywhere

Enjoy your day whatever it brings.

Good-morning Everyone. I've been up for several hours and thought of posting first, but wasn't ready to make the mind work :D (No comments from the peanut gallery).
Heard on the weather report short time ago, we are going to be in the 60's next week, what a boost to my moral. Yesterday morning in order to take Maggie early I am out sweeping my car of two inches of fluffy snow. I was grateful it was fluffy. No ice on the windshield to scrape off, so still much to be grateful for. I will be oh so much more grateful to see the end of it.

Not sure what today is going to be, but know I will be home. Yesterday it was sunny, but wind was soooo cold. That wind is really getting to me, with the temps so low. Well, won't go into posting my thoughts anymore of what I think of this winter :D Its supposed to warm up each day now and be a 58, Sat. so that will be nice. Cold and snow will be back, but we won't think of that now ;)

Maggie, is kind of quite and still in bed, not her usual active self this morning. I'll tell her later today, that Herschels coming Sat., that should make her all better.

Have a great day everyone, what ever it looks like outside, we have another day to do our thing, whatever that is,
Those on the road, stay safe, think there are several, some heading to Fl. and some leaving.

Now to catch up on some of the post here,

CArol :)

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

I've been up since 6:30, but decided to wait for you to post so we don't always get two Morning Coffee posts. If no one replies to mine, I can delete it and paste it into yours, but, if someone comments on mine first, I can no longer delete it. Soooooo......it's much easier to reply to yours and not worry about double posting-----also then don't feel as if I have to hurry. Our getting-up hours are so alike that we always seem to cross paths in byetland!

I was thinking of going back to St. Cloud today, but the weather might keep me here until Sunday. It's cloudy and very cool out there, and is supposed to get cold tonight and tomorrow night. Sunday is the beginning of the warmup, so that looks like a good day to go back to camping for a while in the trailer. I am a wimp now about being cold at night! And I have plenty to do right here to keep me busy for a long time to come. My screen-building is rather interesting. Maybe I will take pictures of the finished product today! If the sun comes out, I can also go to the clubhouse for a soak in the hot tub while getting some rays. Sometime this month I will need to go for a swim in the pool or in a hot spring somewhere, as it would be the only month I've been down here that I haven't been swimming if I don't. I enjoy riding my bike around the neighborhoods here, too.

Off I go to tackle the day with a good cup of Hazlenut coffee----stop by and tell us about yours!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning Sue, CArol, Soos & everyone that follows!

Sue, I hope you show off the sign you're making once you're finished with it.

CArol, hopefully your weather will warm up soon. You've definitely had your share of snow this winter.

Soos, you certainly sound like you are having a relaxing winter in Florida, between your house or your trailer on your son's property. I am so happy for you.

It's cold again on the eastern shore of MD this morning. Our house has a one car garage and the car I usually drive to work, which is a 23 year old Buick Regal, lives in the driveway. I keep the other car in the garage and my poor Buick was covered in a heavy frost. So rather than take the time to scrape the frost off, I took the other car to my office. We're supposed to get into the 30's today, which will be a nice reprieve from the below freezing temperatuers we've been having. Tomorrow we're supposed to get into the 40's and possibly hit the 50 degree mark on Sunday. I can't wait!

After work today, I'll run into town and get a workout in at our local Curves. This Curves has the Curves Smart system where all the machines are connected to a computer showing how well you work out on each machine. It's quite an intense workout and I enjoy the exercise which I probably wouldn't get otherwise.

I need to call my parents to see if they're ready for me to prepare some more meals for them. They've both had their share of health issues and Mom isn't up to cooking right now so I've been trying to help them out. So that is on my agenda for this weekend.

I wish everyone a wonderful Friday whatever you are doing.

Good Morning to All from sunny Mazatlan - could not get on Internet yesterday - well could get on but couldn't stay on until later in the evening. It's not our set up I think the big Navy Microwave tower next to us screws it up once in a while. Who knows - Cyber Spooks - Haven't done much of anything out and about for a couple of days so yesterday I worked on a bunch of my photos putting them into a program so I can put them on DVDs so we can watch them on TV. I have some blank DVDs here with us but for the life of us can't find them so will have to go to Office Depot and buy some. How can you not find something in 30 feet!?
did do a blog update about our trip to the hills again. We went over an OH MY GOD bridge - then found out that wasn't where we needed to go........And finally found the hot springs the government has turned into a laundry facility for the women of Concordia. Interesting - hopefully we can get there earley enough to see them in action one of these days.
I see from our hometown paper that it is supposed to warm up some there by tomorrow - hope so - out of the last 79 days only 20 have been above freezing and then just barely.
Well will go catch up on everybody - take care if traveling and keep warm "Here comes the sun." finally.

Morning!
I'll have one of those cups of hot coffee, thank you!

Today will be partly cloudy and in the 50s but starting tomorrow thru Wed it's rain and more rain, then colder temps (40s). I have been looking around my yard/driveway and adding up all the chores already needing done. The grass will need to be mowed probably in a couple weeks. The drive/patio needs a good pressure wash (that's ongoing with the wet weather/moss here).

Later I think I'll go by my grocery store's bakery and pick up a couple Valentine cupcakes and drive up the interstate and surprise my 2 GDs and have lunch with them at their school. I have been wanting to do that for some time and today seems to be the day. Nothing else going on for a change. No waiting for phone calls, no appts. Just gonna enjoy the girls!

Tina, wishing you a safe trek back to snowy Ohio. (play is over, back to the real world?).

That's all I know so far!

Good morning sistahs. Woke up to -2 with a clear sky. Weatherman said it was 10 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. :o Who knew it was THAT cold yesterday. The sun is doing its job. As I sit here, I can hear the snow sliding off the roof. There are many icicles so will keep the puppies in for awhile. I'm planning on getting on top of the camper and brush that snow off so will let them out then. Then we can spend some time in the camper, just because. Today starts the warming trend. Can't wait. We are looking at high 60's over the weekend. YIPEE. Will send some of this wonderful weather to the east so you gals can thaw out as well. We sistahs love to share.

To all traveling, stay safe. Linda

Good morning from sunny warm CA! It's sure feeling like spring, although a couple days of rain are forecast for next week. The new 3G in my area is great, but not fast enough for photobucket, I tried to upload a pix of my beautiful China Lilies, but not luck. You can see them on my blog. :) What a nice surprise to come home too!

I'm just watching the video from Egypt, how exciting is that?!? I'm glad I got to see it. Still remember watching the Berlin Wall coming down.

Hope everyone has a fun day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It's 11:56am so I can still say that!!! :D Oh my goodness it is beautiful outside!! The temp on my thermometer says 56f and there is not a single cloud in the sky. Not even a hint of a little thin wispy one! The sky is just one huge bowl of perfect clear blue! Ahhhhhhhhh!

As long as it's so beautiful outside I am gonna tackle the clean up on our site. There are tons of little twigs and branches that the winds have brought down laying all over the place. Will grab Jodie's rake to use then put them in the campfire pit. Will also rake up Shade's potty area, put it into a small trash bag and take it to the dumpster. This beautiful day makes me want to garden and plant flowers! Kelly and I both want to get a couple of green leafy plants for the TT. We miss the green babies we use to have at home in TN. Son David inherited them and takes good care of them. He likes plants too! Might just go over to the storage room and start in on that. Sort and hoe some stuff out! YeeHaw! Might make me a busy day today!

OK, I'm off to read other postings and do catch up! Hope everyone has a super fantastic day today. If traveling or just home, be safe in all that you do!

Love to all

Good Afternoon everyone... late start here I had a very nice visit from Sarah... so very glad she stopped... Our cloudy skies have broken and now the sun is coming through... lets hope it warms up...
My handi cap bar had broken loose from the MH and a couple of men here in the park drilled through and put heavy bolts washers and nuts on it now it will NOT come loose ever again... I learned how to open and stabilize the awning... how nice to have handy neighbors... it seems that campers always bring nice folks...
I trust everyone is enjoying their day and will be careful on the roads...
