New member introduction

Postby Henhouse » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:07 am

Hi all,
I just purchased my first RV - a 1993 Travelcraft Class C. It is just the perfect size for me and the dog to hit the road. Planning my first trip. I love to drive, hike, read and study the bible. Looking forward to attending bible conferences across the USA and seeing more of this great country. Look for the Flaming Hen House on the highways and byways!

What is GTG?

Postby Henhouse » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:21 am

I will be traveling to Ocala, FL soon - it is my home town. What is the GTG? How do I get in touch? Would love to meet some fellow RVers.

New to RVing

Postby Henhouse » Sat Feb 05, 2011 10:54 am

Hi all,
I just purchased a 1993, 20' Travelcraft. It is just the right size for the dog (Smiley) and me. Looking forward to hitting the road, seeing the country and meeting new people. I have one question already - has anyone ever converted the old cigarette lighter into a 12v DC outlet (for cell phones, etc.)?

Hi Henhouse - first, my apologies. Since I'm on the road and have been doing a lot of boondocking, I missed your new member posts (which have to be approved). You are now approved and don't need that - but your posts sat longer than I like. Again, I'm sorry. But you are NOW a full-fledged member and I'm glad to have you here. Fortunately, my boo-boo didn't cause us to miss you at the Ocala GTG - as by the time you posted that, we were already on the road from there. That said, there are others in that area - so let us know if you are still around. I'm on the eastern coast right now, but moving around all the time.

Lots will be welcoming you now that the posts are approved -
Beth

Hi Henhouse and welcome. I'm one of the "lots" that are looking forward to "traveling" with you on your adventures. Of course, we need to see lots of pictures of your RV and your Smiley. (Pictures are a requirement as we are a very nosey bunch. :D ) Linda

Welcome Henhouse. GTG are "Get ToGethers where some of us meet up. The next one, I think, is the first week of April in Port Lavaca, Texas where we will boondock right on the beach. Food is a BIG park of our GTGs. Come join us if you can.

Welcome Henhouse,

You sound like you are ready to be off and enjoying some traveling. Looking forward to seeing some pictures and hearing about your travels as you enjoy this beautiful country. I too am planning on hitting the road next summer. Hope to be able to see some of our western states, especially CO and WY.

Enjoy your travelsl and I will look for that Flaming Red Henhouse on the road. :)
