I didn't unhook car or brake buddy - but I had to unplug and turn off the brake buddy to not have the battery go dead. When I simply turned it back on and it had to do it's restart thingy - it kept coming off the brake pedal. I thought I was safe because I hadn't unhooked it - WRONG. hahahahaha
