Oh goody Sheila. I love the colors as ya'll know. I woke up and couldn't sleep and thought I'd check the campfire. Glad I did. I fixed a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows and grabbed a hoodie to keep warm. It is cool at night in Tn. so I can just imagine what Utah is like. I'll throw another log on and settle in for awhile.

Dang, I mised the colors - and I sure love throwing on those logs and things that do that. But while you were all unable to sleep - the food and company last night, ended by some time in the hot tub, and I came home and slept soundly all night. Not many nights I do that - makes twice in the past 7 days. So I'm really feeling good today.

Gonna have some lemonade and sit around the fire for a bit.

I got this in an e-mail and decided I needed to share it and grab another bottle off the wall. Maybe we need to switch to cans after reading this!!!

"LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!

**********************************************************************************************************

Subject: good investment

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock one year ago, you would have $49.00 left.

With Enron, you'd have had $16.50 left of the original $1, 000.00.

With WorldCom, you'd have had less than $5.00 left.

But...if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer and then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you'd have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg plan.

Gosh---I better take another one!!!

I like the sound of that and you get to enjoy yourself, too. I'll take a beer, its still warm enough here in Texas. Let's see, that leaves 112 bottles of beer on the wall.

Yes, I think it was George Jones who did the original, but Alan Jackson did a re-do of it a few years ago.....

A little early for beer, but will take 1 to have later....

110 bottles of beer on the wall...............110 bottles of beer...

It is a perfect night here to sit around the campfire. I threw some more logs on. Gonna have to see if Ernie can find any good wood up there in Arkansas!! I grabbed a long sleeve shirt to keep me from getting but that is all you need.I got that yellow cake here I baked this morning if anyone wants a piece. It does have choc. icing!!! I got a bag of chocolate covered peanuts too. I guess I'll grab a bottle off the wall so that leaves 109!!! IS that right ? LOL

Sorry we ran out of the hot chocolate Sheila. There was some Swiss Miss with marshmallows stashed with Cedar's wine----for chocolate emergencies. The hobo coffee pot is full of water----just waiting to be heated for that chocolate fix. I''m fixing sausage gravy and biscuits this morning. Also got the hobo pot full of coffee!! Ready to start the day. It is going to be a pretty sunrise here!!!

I have some caramel rolls...any one want one? Speaking of the logs that make colored flames...I know I saw an article through someone's blog (think it was Marge) where you can soak pine cones in different solutions and they will color the flames. Well at the time I thought "I'll remember that" Guess what...CRS. Can anyone help me out...then I'll bring some to the campfire...I really thought they would make neat Christmas gifts for our camping friends and I have a yard full of pine cones.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Just got back from my camping weekend this afternoon,.... we had two great campfires,... best one was last night. I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and my buddy Kathy had a Pepsi. Fireplace was about 8-10' from the water on the banks of the St.Lawrence River,....

A nice way to end the camping season,....
