Hello Ladies,
A Pink Flamingo GTG is being planned and hosted by acadianamom (Martha Kuehling) and cpatinjones (Carolyn Patin). We have decided on the campground, place and date thus far. Here is that information:
Date: April 29, 2011 (last weekend in April)
Campground: Frenchman’s Wilderness
City and State: Butte La Rose, Louisiana. (25 minutes from Lafayette)
Here is some information for Frenchman’s Wilderness campground in Butte La Rose, LA (more can be found on their website): It is approx. 1 ½ miles from I-10. Their website address is http://frenchmanswildernesscamp.com Phone number is 337-228-2616. The rate is $32.50 per night and $29.07 per night with a Good Sam membership card. They have 30 and 50 amp available with FHU. Back-in only sites. No cable. Internet available for $5.00 per 24 hrs offered by Tango.
I will be calling Frenchman’s Wilderness this week to confirm that the Pink Flamingos will be arriving on Friday, April 29.
Info about the use of pavilion: To get use of the meeting room for free, we have to have 15 confirmed sites. If we don’t get 15 sites confirmed, hopefully we will have great weather and can meet outdoors. If we don’t have good weather, well, we will just have to wing it.
We are working on putting together a list of things to see, do and places to eat. So, hold on, more info will be coming soon.
So, will Martha and I being seeing you the last weekend in April?
