Remi..Radar here. I sure not excited bout water neither...it makes me nervious..but it looks lots bedder than that frozen junk me have to go outside and get my hinny in and it's cold on the feets too. Cuz youse don't get wet are you the lucky one who gets to sweep with the GHL?
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
This is Abby. I'm a chocolate lab and I don't get to go camping because my mom says I'm not "camping ready". I mean.. sheesh.. what is there to get ready for? I can run.. and run.. and run.. and run...even faster than my mom! I bark REAL well too! *beam* I have serious skills.
Mom says I should take some advice from Herschel about camping but I don't need no stinkin' advice. I'm a pup and I know everything! Between you and me, pretty darn sure I do know more than some rv mechanics.
Abby (ok.. I had my mom Alice type this.. only cause I was too busy with my latest chew toy)
Have we ever seen a picture of you? Tell your Mommy if she can stay out of the repair shop long enough, I'd like to see a picture of someone with a truly lovely, lovely name.
I'd like to know how your hooman gots you dry and cleaned too? I gots lots of long hairs and it takes forever to gets dry. And the sand just gets buried in my long hairs and makes me itch. Course my Mom grumps when theys sand in the bed too.
My mom use to take me to da big water where theys sand and waves but then she would stuff me in da sinks when we gots home. ICK bath n dryer for long hairs and brushing for hairs is not my fave things. Only good thing about baths is I smell really good when done and my mom likes that!

Herschel here: I think the GHL ignores damp dog smells. SHe just says she loves us.... Remi and Stuart both got baths when they got back to the campground. She says that the sand brushes right out of my coat once I dry and I dry pretty fast.....I think it is because she strips out my undercoat pretty well. ....But that Stuart, everything sticks in his coat and boy does he need help . In general we are all dry by bedtime.

I dry fairly fast, too, since I have short hair, but Mommy says that the sand gets stuck in my fur and that the salt water makes me feel icky...so I get a bath every time we go to the beach, too....but the creek in PA is okay cause it's fresh water and not much sand.. I do get a bath though every time I roll in the deer pee.... My Dad hoses me down then Mommy puts me in the tub and scrubs the "dickens" out of me....they say I stink after rolling.....
Is this dog beach a campsite, or just a day site? I suppose I could have my lazy mom plug in its name and check for herself, but you would have the better info on the place!
Molly, who hates the water and beaches, but whose mom LOVES them! She just doesn't like leaving me alone while she walks the beach!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain Happy travels!
It is not a campground but there is room in the parking lot for smaller rigs to park for the day which is what Herschel had me do. He knew that way I would have access to the frig and all for making a fine lunch. I stayed at the St Lucas County park north of Fort Pierce and just unhooked for the day. In your case you could park the trailer and just take the truck for the day. :=) There is one small tree that provides some shade but if planning to sit and watch the ocean after walking you might want to plan on bring along a shade source and/or a blanket or chair....well and water and lunch, etc......

It's the same dog beach Peaches and I went to while in Port St. Lucie - and will be going back to. Nice beach. But, yes, as Tina says, day use only.
