Good Saturday Morning!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Saturday Morning!

Postby Bethers » Sat Feb 05, 2011 8:23 am

I'm up and about to head out - going into Fort Pierce today - will meet back up with Tina and Sarah - and my g/f from Port St. Lucie - to go to the Green Market there.

Liz is leaving here today. Soos' son and wife are driving up to spend the night with her. Hopefully they'll get some good canoeing time in.

Have a great grand-glorious day everyone.

SATURDAY MORNING

Postby Colliemom » Sat Feb 05, 2011 8:32 am

Looks like everyone is sleeping in this morning. I finally rolled out around 8 a.m The girls decided it was get up timea and of course Sassy, needing her pill in the morning is not about to let me forget that. Gotta have that yummy cheese (with the pill inside) you know

So coffee is on and I ate my half grapefruit. Am chomping on a bagel right now. Really healthy breakfast here

I see we are having the "Who's Got the Better Weather Bowl", East (FL) vs. West (CA) and the winnter is....... Botb Barbie and Beth are laying claim to the title

We just might get up to the freezing mark today. Wow, first time in I don't remember when. Cause for celebration  Got to enjoy it cause after today it's back into the deep freeze next week and from what I have heard, it's going to affect those down south a bit too. Once we are over this hump, it's all uphill from here.

Not sure what is going to happen around here today. Know there will be a doggie walk today but otherwise not sure. We took the longest one we have done in awhile yesterday. Walked the shoulder of the highway, down the road just a bit and then picked up the one road we walk on frequently. Let the girls loose so they could enjoy some freedom and the walk. I really don't like walking alongside the highway with them, but the alternative is to try to blaze a path through almost knee deep snow in the yard here to get to the way out back. NOT!

So hope everyone has a good day no matter where it leads for you. Leveda, you are supposed to be starting off on your drean adventure today. Best of luck in your travels and I will be following your blog as you go along.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Where the heck is everyone? I simply can't stand that no one has posted to either morning thread!!! Maybe they can't make up their minds which one they need or want to post to??   And I will help them right out too! When I get done here I will post to Beth's morning coffee post! :D ;)

Suppose to be a beautiful day here! I sure hope so!!!! Jodi said last night that it's suppose to be in the 60's today. WHEEEEEEE! Maybe it will help thaw out my black tank??? Frozen poop! Use to be I was a 'hot chit' now that I'm older I guess things have cooled down?   Tried putting my small heater that we got from Snowball under the trailer and tank. Only left it a couple of hours and it did thaw some of the 'liquid' so that I could drain at least a little of it. But didn't dare drain to much as I didn't want the 'solids' to become even more solid without the liquid! Yesterday the wind was blowing so hard from every which direction that it wouldn't have made any sense or difference to put the heater back under there. So today sometime late this afternoon I will try again to dump the black tank. Everyone cross your fingers and wish me the best of luck. I'll do the holding of breath. ?? Or maybe Kelly if I send her out there to do it!  She like Lotus is not impressed with dumping that black tank!

Not much doing today that will be exciting that's for sure. Went and got a propane tank filled yesterday so that was my big trip of the day! Was about to go take a shower before going after the propane but the faucets started making that sucking, gurgling noise that we have become so familiar with. Yep no water again. ~sigh~ This place sure does have a lot of water problems. By time poor Brent is done almost all the pipes will have been worked on!!! The man is earning his keep. He gets his site for free but I think he should also be getting paid some good bucks for all the work he's put in on the pipes here!!! So today is gonna be shower day for me!! WOOHOO!!! I need a shower badly! ewwwwwww :?

Coffee is really hitting the spot this morning and I think I just might make up another pot for myself? YUM! Hope everyone has a super fantastic safe day in all that they do!!!

Love to all

good morning ladies
I always go with the first post in and know Beth will combine them later on.
Just a normal Saturday for me, a few routine chores and then its off to work
for the evening. Its suppose to get back up into the 60's and will probably be
able to turn the heaters off and save a little electricity. This cold snap is really
eating up my electric budget. We've gone from less than $2 a day to over $5
a day, :o and thats about the same amount I spend in the hottest time of the
summer to run the ac. This year its the worst of both worlds.
The girls are wanting their breakfast, and the coffee is calling my name for
a refill. Enjoy your day and be safe.

Good Morning to All - I just rolled out of bed - its 9:30 here and the sun is shinning brightly - hopefully the cold (for here) spell is over and it will get back up into the mid 70s today. A lot of homes here don't have any type of heat and in the country no window glass or doors.
I couldn't sleep last nite finally got in bed around 2 a.m. - took a long nap yesterday afternoon - I know better than to do that. Oh well - We had a busy day yesterday. Went shopping down town in the a.m. Found Chinese take out for lunch yum. Then went to the Art Walk in the old district last nite. We were going to make a long night of it and eat at the new Argentine restaurant and watch the first parade for Carnaval but didn't - first it was quite cold - I know I know - but for here it was cold. And the main reason was .....there was a brass band in the gazebo that was playing so awful and so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think - and all eating seating is outside. I'll post a video of it later on the blog. So we came home and finished our Chinese. And I update blog a little.
We've deceided to stay here another two weeks - I want to check into zip lining and if it ever warms up parasailing. My year of being daring!!! Also if we ever get out of here and get to Aticama I want to take a ride with Flyboy Chip - if you read Tioga and George you know he flies an ultralight.
I see the weather report for So Central Indiana is snow, snow and more snow. What a year this has been.
Did you ever notice the quieter you try to be the more noise you make? My watch sounds like a jack hammer clanking on the laptop aas I type - it's time for the driver to get up anyway.
Take care and stay warm everyone.

Good Morning Everyone... it is cloudy and drizzly here in Ocala... today I will clean my tiny bedroom and closet... things get messed up pretty fast here...
I hope it clears off so I can take Shadow for a little walk... he went out this morning and immediately wanted back in he didn't like the 'raindrops falling on his head'...
We have WIFI here in Wandering Oaks so I suspended my internet for 3 months... by then I should be home... that is a good savings and will mostly pay for the extra I am paying here...
I talked to my daughter via messaging this morning she said the snow is waist deep there... my son in law is going to clean out my drive and walk and check things over there today... hope the roof holds up...
Take care and stay warm all of you in the snowy places...

ARRRRGGGGG!!!

Posted a reply and? GONE! Operator error!

Oh Kelly will dump it, there's no problem there! If I ask her or need her to do it she will, no question there. And she has volunteered to dump it for me too. But she's not impressed with being on her knees with her nose that close to the results of the source!!!   Can't say I'm overly impressed at being on my knees while dumping the dang thing either!!! But that's because it bothers my knees.....

Have never really paid any attention to the dumping systems on other RV's. I know I've seen many at the dump station in parks, just really don't recall anyone on their knees to dump the tanks. I will have to check out and investigate the other RV's here in the park.

Yep us RV women can sure get interested and excited over dumping poop. Not to mention we can get to laugh about it!!!

Good morning all! Don't usually post here, but thought it would be a good place to let you know that I'll be out of touch for about 11 days. Leaving in a while for the King of the Hammers race in Lucerne Valley (actually in JohnsonValley). Sometimes we have cell service there and sometimes not...guess it just depends on which way the wind is blowing  , but if we do, I'll at least be able to keep up with some of the posts via my handy dandy new DroidX. Maybe. We kind of have a love-hate relationship at this point.

Hope everyone has a great week, good weather and safe traveling! See ya in a couple of weeks if not sooner. Here's a little video of what we'll be watching. This is one of our favorite trails, but takes us a lot longer than it does these guys! LOL!
