Opinions Needed

Postby Bethers » Fri Feb 04, 2011 8:46 pm

OK - just did a blog post on Day Two here at Blue Cypress Lake. I tried something new - inserting the images in a gallery - using thumbnails. You can click on them to see a larger pic - but need to right click to have it open in a new page - or normal click and then click your back button. Question is - how many of you would prefer me to keep all the images large - or do you like the gallery/thumbnail. I'm undecided - but it works good when I have a slow connection like here.

Will appreciate your thoughts.

I like 'em big, Beth. If you could do a click to a slideshow then that would be okay, but I don't like having to go back & forth looking at the larger size. Call me lazy ... ;)

I, too, vote to keep them big so I can just scroll down - no clicking back and forth.

I prefer the thumbnails - my connection is ADSL, so a bit slow. It was a much faster load.
And the thumbnails are big enough that I can tell if I want to see a bigger version.

That's my $0.02.

Doesn't matter to me...

Is that funky fish out of the water or is the water that clear?

I like them big too, now I have seen some where the pic is a thumbnail and you click on
it to make it big but it stays in the same window and you don't have to click to make
it go back just scroll to the next one and click on that too, I don't mind those kind,
but all in all, I prefer them to just be big.

My vote is "thumbs down" on the "thumbnails".

Any way that you can post works for me. The thumbs were ok, no problem here with them.

Thanks for the speedy opinions. Will probably do a mixture - as without that feature, probably wouldn't have posted last night - with this slow connection here. And I appreciate some with slow connections can have the page load faster with the thumbnails. To do more posts from here, will most likely continue using that feature - or a mixture. I don't think I have control to change how the thumbnails click to larger - but will look at that another time.

Thanks again!

Not sure that this helps answer your question, but there is also the option for those reading your blog to open your blog, then hit "CTRL" and the "+" key. That makes the whole screen larger and the photos are easier to see.

That should make it quicker for you to load them and easier for your blog readers to see the photos...and they still have the option is click on them to make them even larger.
