The Doo(u)fus Twins are thinking of yet another AR GTG. :o

Tossing around Lake Chicot State Park in Lake Village AR (http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/lakechicot) for four nights beginning Monday, October 3, 2011.

..
Times change. Circumstances change. The Doo(u)fus Twins have both had unexpected turns in their financial situations, so this year's party would be more or less "on the cheap". But we just know y'all would be coming for the Love of the Sistahood, right? (okay, that - and kayaking, and a beautiful setting, and lakeview sites with full hookups for $28 (50A) and $25 (30A), and $18 (water and electric only) and a lovely lakefront 1BR cabin with fireplace for $90/night; 2BR woods view - $110, and 50% and 25% off for handicap and seniors, respectively, and rentals for kayaks, pedal boats, party boats, fishing boats, bicycles, and interpretive boat tours, and fellowship, and chuckles, and most of all - GOOD FOOD!...)

FROM THEIR WEBSITE: Located in the Mississippi Flyway, this park offers some of the best year-round birding opportunities in Arkansas. The park offers lake tours, levee tours, and other opportunities for you to view a variety of birds and other wildlife.

So, think about joining the Doo(u)fus Twins for a fun and laughter-filled four days in southeast Arkansas!
We're looking forward to it!

If there's any interest, details will follow!

Sounds good, but it is a long ways off for me to plan anything. If I make it through all these test this years go around, then I will really start thinking of what I might do. That is AFTER I get through all my repairs here. MY heater in the house quit on me last night, and my mail yesterday, about gave me a heart attack. My electric bill is 600 dollars, so my heater must have done some of that, but it sure has been cold and me, I should have been down in Key West  this year, I have really minded the cold. I need to get out of this place and these problems cause I look at that ole woman in the mirror and think she belongs in my house :o :? and I need to leave her behind. :) Maggie has some problems too, we have to fix. So when I get through and get Maggie and the heater fixed and paid for, then I will plan.

Oct. sounds good, weather should be nice, people who take the cruise with Carolyn, may hit it on the way home. Something to think about, while I plod through the crap here.

And Mitch, good thing my Mommie isn't here with her bar of soap, she'd getcha !!!! Just ask my daughter !!!!

So I'm thinking and hoping here,
CArol :)

Awww C'mon, Carol, are we going thru this AGAIN this year????? You know darn well that if you don't get your reservation in I'm gonna do it for you, so you might as well bite the bullet, make the reservation and then, as you well know, all of your problems will seem lighter and you'll have a huge weight off of your shoulders knowing that you have a site and you're gonna be partying with us!!!

That said, naturally I'm in for where ever. Couldn't find any pictures of the campsites, so let us know when you decide on a loop and we'll have to trust the guy at the gate to not screw up! :D

That's a definite maybe. Will depend on finances and price of gas. By the way, if you're 62 or older there is a senior discount Sun thru Thurs of 25%. Sometimes it pays to get old.

Yup, missed the discount last year, but will get it this year! Woo Hoo!! So far, that's the only benefit I've found about getting old! LOL!

Well shoot! my annual migration just does not fit with your gtg plans! I searched a couple flights, but they are way out of my budget. Maybe next time.

Well, if the finances change, fly into Little Rock, I'll come get ya and take you back and you can stay with me. The couch is comfy when it's free, not so much if you would have to pay for it....

Carolyn, that's what I'm looking at too! I called today to get some info, but the lady working in there was not much help. I'm calling back on Monday to find out the length of those sites and how accommodating they would be for Ronnie. Those are 30A with full hookups. The "handicap" spots are all the way on the other side of the park in Area A. :x
