Having trouble figuring out when everyone is going to Q. I just saw that Ava was talking about picking me up, but haven't heard from her. I have the weekend off, but she probably has to work. I will PM her about it. Who's the gal from Ankeny, IA?

Linda, I'll be there on Thurs...don't know when or if anyone else is. Melinda is a new member, visiting family in Palm Springs, but she doesn't have her rv with her. Pretty sure she's not going to the GTG.

This would have been my first Quartzite gtg :( :( Sorry to have missed meeting everyone, but needed to go to Raleigh to help out, so rescheduled my AZ trip to visit my sister to 2/1. She and BIL decided not to go, since I wasn't there. Know you'll have fun with those that do attend. Looking forward to posts and pics. carold

Well heck, Carol, you're missing out on all of the GTG's! But family comes first, as we all know, and I'm sure you'll catch up with some of us later on down the road.

we did what we all do very well
eat and talked!
and ate and talked and more eating and talking

went for a walk and went for a drive in the desert
went to the store so we could eat and talk
we didn't go tent shopping as for most of us been there done that
but if we had new bee's come next year we would do some of that!
but we are good at eating and talking
Sharon, Jenny, Kerry, Alice, Evie and myself were here and were joined by husbands Dan and Larry

That, to me, is what a gtg is all about - especially the talking! Or the eating? hahaha - yep, the eating and talking.

OK, so yeah I've been home for a few days, and yes, I'm just now getting around to this. I used to be soooo good about posting the pictures, but I'm really getting bad about it...sorry! As Sheila said, we didn't do anything but eat and talk except for a really nice desert drive that Larry, Sheila's great hubby took us on. He drove us to the store a couple of times and anywhere else we wanted to go, entertained us and showed us his great artwork. I'm putting him up for the title of Sultan II. He and Ernie are two of a kind!

So, I pulled into La Posa about 1:00, and some guy pulled up beside me and told me my mud flap was dragging on the ground. Yup, half of it was and a lot of it was worn off on one side. Crawled under and managed to get it put back up (boy, that thing's heavy!!)...it was a shackle that had come un-screwed. Figured I could wire tie it to get me home. Went in and payed, came back out...and guess what??? Ding dang door wouldn't open! Again! Thought I had that problem fixed. (Ya'll remember Albuquerque last year??) Cargo bay was unlocked, since I just drove from Salome, 25 miles. Got the 5ft ladder I had put in there after Alb, climbed in the driver window (which I always leave unlocked since Alb.), and then couldn't get the door open from the inside...hmmm...new problem? How do I get the ladder put away? How do I get in and out for the next 4 days? Getting desperate. Tried the lock...Mental head slap...had locked the door to go in and pay...door opened just fine. Put ladder away, called Sheila and her and Larry were on their way back from getting ice cream, so I just waited for them to lead me in. The door worked just fine until late Sat nite and then pulled the same crap, wouldn't open. So there I was at 9 at nite, dark as can be, climbing in the window again. So the door wasn't closed unless I was inside until I got home. Gonna have to take it in to be looked at because one of these days, someones gonna get a picture of me going in that durn window. Speaking of pictures, here's a few...

Evie (Pooker), Sheila (Snowball), Dan (Jenny, SeeyaGal's DH), Larry (Sheila's DH) and Jenny. Sheila's making fry bread for the Indian Tacos. (She calls them scones, but I've pulled enough fry bread at PowWows to know better! )

Campfire, thanks to Larry! Jenny, Kerry, Larry, Sheila, Dan

Thanks for the pics, Sharon. Glad you were able to get in & out of your rig, even though the method was a little more creative than you probably wanted. ;)
