Glad to hear all is put back together for you. As for having the same problems with a stick built, I can attest to that. During the snow storm last week we were without power for 24 hours. Luckily I had an old kerosene heater in the basement (and it had old kerosene in it too thank heavens) so I was able to provide us with a bit of heat. The hard part was keeping the GD's bearded dragon warm. We heated up a rock in boiling water (thank heavens for a gas stove) and wrapped it and the dragon in a towel to keep him warm. Had to reheat the rock about ever hour. Then, last Saturday my propane tank ran empty. No heat, no hot water! Ugh. So, I ran to the local home depot for a heater of some sort. Ha Ha. They are sold out for the season. Is it me or is there something wrong with this picture? It's only February. I sure hope no one needs supplemental heat for the next 2 months, cause they are SOL if they do up here in MD! I was able to find a couple small ones on clearance at Target but it just boggles my mind that Home Depot would only have heaters seasonally. And because it has been so cold here (since November) I went through about 200 gallons of propane in 2 months! OUCH. I was afraid that there was something wrong with my furnace, so I had my furnace guy come take a look at it this morning. He said it is fine, but because it has been so cold that is why it used so much.

So, it doesn't matter if it is a home on wheels or a stick and brick, there will be things that go wrong at the darndest times. And all you can do is roll with the punches.

Glad you have your potty back. That's one of those need to have things! And your maintenance guy sounds like a keeper!

Always, ALWAYS, keep a pee bucket handy, whether in a house or a trailer/RV! They make comfy seats that snap on regular buckets (like those used at McDonald's for pickles or whatever, and then you can just dump it the next day. When not in use as an emergency toidy, you can use it as your clean-your-RV mop bucket! I have one in each place I live, including the leanto back home. If I had one here in Orlando, I would photo it to show you how neat it is. The lids store flat anywhere. Midnight walks to the bathrooms are no fun, especially if you have convinced yourself you can wait 'til morning! Depends might be an alternative!

LOL Soos! I told her to pee in a cup during the night ;) And she's not joking. That toilet was way too high for even a 5'7" person. Thank God for Chris :) And I think all is well now :)

I have been a bad neighbor. I'm workin too much this winter to keep tabs on a daily basis. We tend to hibernate here in the cold months.Even though, we are right next door. Sorry Karen. Can't wait til warmth comes and we are back to our Happy Hours :)

Love,
Sharon
