FRESH SNOW SATURDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FRESH SNOW SATURDAY

Postby Colliemom » Sat Jan 29, 2011 7:49 am

A Good Happy Morning to your all,

Woke up this morning to find that we had about 2 inches or so of fresh snow last night. So I guess that plus the inch or so that was in my drive, means the blower will be rolling out this morning. There was a clipper system coming through last night and this part of the country just caught the edge of the 2-4 inch snowfall from it as it veered southwest. When you ride the edge of an advisory or warming area, you know that mother nature is not paying attention to county lines. But it's clear and a blue sky out there too. Temp around 10 degrees. Heading into a week of mid teen for high's.

Finished up working at the B&B yesterday for this week. Not sure about Sunday. It's on an on call basis, and right now he wasn't sure what was going to happen either. Sometimes if they have a lot of rooms leaving, they need the extra help and if it's just a few, then they just leave them and work on them on Monday. Doesn't matter. Have some green buring a hole in my pocket right now.

Not sure what I am going to get into today. Should get that snow done, and mght head into town. I"ve got this idea in my head for makin a walcome sign for my TT and want to go to Hobby Lobby to see what they have for stencils, etc. and need to go buy the wood to make the sign with as well as the stain. Also going to browse the puter here for some silhouettes etc. that I can run off and trace onto my wood especialy of a trailer and some collies. Just toying around with some wording ideas yet. Don't want to put my name on it, but come up with somethng cute.

Kathleen, sorry I missed you when you checked into chat last night. I was off the site for a couple of minutes poking into the "Show off Your Rigs" posts". Should have put my Away sign on for you. Hope you come on tonight. Anxious to hear if you get into your new campground.

Well, the coffee is hot, wish I had some nice cinimmon rolls, but...... Have a wonderful day all.

Just looked through all the pics of the Florida GTG. DIET TIME.. sheesh! Consider those shots my BEFORE pics. It was great meeting everyone AND their dogs. I love dogs so it was a tremendous treat to see so many here at the gtg. My Abby had to stay home as she still isn't quite ready for camping. Give or take a few years.

Next time Beth or anyone pulls out a camera.. I'm running.

Good morning everyone from my home in Ocala. Tina and I are rested from our 4 kayaking trip yesterday....hope you've recovered too, Nan. Posted some more pics in the GTG thread.

Today I must catch up on a few things...like laundry & cleaning out the RV to get it ready to take on the road again Monday. Hope to get by the State Park for one more visit...maybe Sunday afternoon.

Ok, time to get to work! Enjoy your day. Hope you still at the gtg will take advantage of the river today!

I'm intending to be a bum today, but MIGHT (with Pete's help) take the kayak down this afternoon for a bit. MIGHT. Am enjoying myself just on my hikes, etc. But if the weather warms to where they say, this very fair weather kayaker might do a bit.

good morning ladies
woke up to the alarm this morning and promptly rolled over and shut it off. My brain said
its saturday, go back to sleep. But that wasn't happening so after a half hour of tossing
and turning I got up, got some coffee, fed the dogs and here I am. :D
Little chilly this morning but it will warm up as the sun comes up, maybe in the 60's today
I'm not sure.
Working on a grocery list and deciding what other things are important to get me through
to another payday. I really like my airmattress but I can feel the cold air and think I should
go get myself a memory foam topper for it. Walmart has them for $29 and if I get one I'll
probably be warmer and not run the space heater so much. Also need to load the electric
card, (son has mpower, like I used to) and really REALLY need to get that wall made so the
girls are not confined to their kennel all day. That would save me the gas coming back and
forth during my break to let them out. So I think that part is important. Decisions, decisions.
Bank first, then the grocery store, electricity and then gas. My grocery scan card is linked
up to the Shell station where I can get 10 cents off a gal. when I have 100 pts on my shopping
card. I'm just 8 pts short so gotta go get the groceries first. Then I can fill up. Learned
that lesson the hard way by wasting my 100 pts on one little $5 purchase of gas once. Won't
make that mistake again.
Well, I'm ready for a second cup and then its off to do some catching up on posts.
Have a great day and I hope ya'll have some good weather, and if your on the road,
be safe.

Good morning all.

I rolled over at 5:15 & knew that my night was over, but stayed in bed until just after 6:00. Hate it when this middle-aged body decides when it's time to get up!

The weather is cooling off after being in the 70s and 80s for 2 weeks. The weather people are even talking about the possibility of rain tomorrow. I'm glad for the change, as it's just too early to have warm weather. It makes things dry here & increases the fire danger significantly.

I have a sick kitty. She's eating & drinking, but her (if you'll excuse me) poop is runny & she seems to retch every now and then. Plus she's lost some weight. My vet has Saturday hours and is usually booked solid, but I'm going to call at 8:00 and see if I can get her in anyway. Some prayers for my little Belle would really be appreciated. She's such a sweet kitty. I sit on a recliner with my laptop on a lap board. She loves to jump up, straddle me with front feet on one arm & back feet on the other and then just kind of fall against me. Then she nuzzles me and purrs like a buzzsaw -- all love. She's 8, so not a kitten, but certainly not old either. Being a total indoor kitty rules out many things, so it's hard to know what to think -- except the worst (some sort of cancer). Anyway, I hope I can get her in today. I'll keep you posted.

On that note, I guess I ought to get myself dressed in case the vet tells me that I can bring her in. It's a 30 min. drive, so I don't want to lose the chance if I have to be there early.

Have a great day everyone.

I could have sworn I posted here earlier, but now it's not here...hummmmmmmmmmmm! :? :?

Laura: me, Torrie, Encino, and Habibi are all sending kitty prayers to Belle. I've so enjoyed seeing her when we Skype. Her straddling across you and the laptop is too darned cute. I hope she's just got a tummy bug that can be fixed easy once you get her into the vet. We're hoping for a good, quick outcome. (((((Belle))))))

When I posted earlier, I said it was foggy here...but since then, the fog melted away. Now the birds are out, and the woodpeckers are not happy that the suet is gone. Guess a trip to Lowes is on the list for today's doings. Also the neighbor and I are going to try again to fix the driveway issues I have with getting Foo Foo in and out of the driveway. Pray for a good outcome--something that keeps her from bottoming out, but something that's not too heavy for me to move around.

Now it's time to really get moving...talk to you all later...

Have a great Saturday...

Good Morning, again,

I posted earlier, copied it and all, checked it was there, and now when I come back it is gone?!

I will try to remember what I wrote, but now I am agitated!

Oh well, here goes:

It is exactly one week before I leave and things are coming together pretty nicely,
I have four different people coming this weekend to look at the house to rent. I am hoping the family with a baby choose it, as I'd feel better traveling if they were here in the house.
I would rather sell, but in this market, I am glad to get some renters.

I went to a memorial service yesterday for a friend's father and it was so inspiring.
I wrote about it on my blog, if you're interested.
He lived a great life and it was just what I needed to hear.
We have to make the best life we can and I am ready to live life!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day,

I have to take the Vista in to get the dash heat fixed, again...hopefully this time it will be done right!

good day,

Quick update on the kitty scene ...

The vet is able to get us in at 2:00 today. :) So I'll be loading Belle in her carrier & taking Jed along for 2 of his annual shots. I must be crazy -- hauling my 75# way-too-much-energy dog along with my <10# petrified kitty! But It'll get done and hopefully we'll get to the bottom of the reeeeeally stinky litterbox issues today. Already have some of her "deposits" bagged & in the car.

Keep praying, please. I'm a nervous mom. I'll let you know this evening what the verdict is.

Thanks.

Laura
