Better late than never - I finally posted my photos on my blog. http://www.rv-adventure.blogspot.com

It was great to see old friends (not OLD...none of us are OLD) and meet others too. The goodie bags were just perfect - I will use everything in them. Thanks so much. Only regret I had was that I couldn't stay longer - wish I had convinced DH to drive us up there in the RV to spend a few days. That state park had lots of sites for big rigs. I really enjoyed the walk to the river with all the doggies.

I think this is the correct link to Margie's blog? http://www.rv-adventure.blogspot.com/

Clicking on her link brought me to someone else's.

Great pics, Margie. I'm glad you made it to the gtg, braving bad weather and all.

What are those round pink things I've seen in a couple of pictures? Inquiring minds want to know.

I also did a new blog post today - http://ontheroadwithbeth.com/blog/2011/ ... spring-sp/ = but there's some wrong info there. I didn't realize Nan was here till tomorrow. So when I say there are only 4 left - I was wrong! And Sarah stayed in the park to have dinner with us tonight before heading back to Liz's. We just don't know how to quit having gtg's :)

Pete was a very gracious host for our dinner tonight - and made a fabulous dessert. I took some pics, but not of the food, dummy me. Will try to get them on the blog tomorrow.

Pssssst Sarah, you should have told Tina to hop in, you'd take her home, then really take it for a spin! ;)

I was a beautiful day to kayak, albeit a bit windy at times. Tina, Nan, and I set off up the river about noon. Soos, Pete and Beth were there to see us off.
Image
All smiles as we paddle along.
Image
We saw gators big,
Image
And small...this one was only about 1.5 ft.
Image
In multiples, until we stopped counting.
Image
Sunning space is limited...have to share.
Image
Image
Not really hungry right now...
Image
Love how the turtles sun their feet too.
Image
Myriads of birds too...
Image
A turkey flew across the river, but no pic. The jury is still out on this guy. Waiting for Birdie to weigh in again. I didn’t like her first answer...but I should know better and just shut up and agree, because what do I know?
Image
There were herons....little blue,
Image
And big blue,
Image
Tricolored,
Image
Immature night heron
Image
Snowy Egret,
Image
Beth and Pete hiked down the swamp trail and hailed us as we paddled by.
Image
There were fish to see...
Image
Image
And then a lazy float back
Image
Reflections...
Image
Soos told us she heard the monkeys, and there they were not far from the landing.
Image
After 4 hours on the river, I was surprised to see Tina and Nan wanting to take a hike. Wonder why they’re carrying that paper?
Image
Pulling the kayaks back to the parking lot was a little tough. Pull Nan, pull!

Kewl that Soos knew that sound was monkeys - I thought we had a different bird. Glad you spotted one. Neat pics. Pete and I laughed when we got to that location from the Swamp Trail, and there you were passing. You took pics of us, I took pics of you :)

Great pics. Just not sure if all I want between me and an alligator is a piece of rubber. I think the bird is a wood stork based on the head.
