CLOUDY THURSDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

CLOUDY THURSDAY MORNING

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jan 27, 2011 8:16 am

And a Good Morning to you all,

Cloudy here at the 45th this morning. Temp is around 22. Wind looks to be calm as my flag is hanging limp. Light snow moving in. No big deal there.

Got through the first day "back at work" yesterday. About 3 hurs. Got to ge my routine down pat, so I can get things really rolling. Tomorrow I am going in around 8 -8:30 to help with the breakfast as Mike is by himself. Ann has to work. Then there are a lot of people leaving and being Friday, more will be coming in. Full house for the wekend and almost all full right now. So it will be a hectic day it looks like. That's okay. I need to build up my stanima for going back to work at the park, cause that gets a bit hectic and physically challenging as well, when we first go back. They also asked if I could come help on Sunday for awhile, so I wlll be busy here. We play it by ear from week to week depending on the circumstances over there. And right now they are pretty full till Mid March.

And my gout seems to be clearing up, slow but sure. Just an area on the bottom of the big toe still swollen as well as the tip of the toe. I was even able to take the girls for a walk over to the park yesterday. Then went over to the neighbors and shoveled out the walk and porch and across the the front of one garage door. The neighbor with the plow did the drive, but there is always a little bank of snow left alongside the plow path when a drive is plowed. I will remove the rest when I take the blower over next time. After that I cleared all the snow off the top of my TT with my snow rake, so now it has a bare roof again. At least for the moment. With the cover over the trailer, it makes it easy to get the snow off.

So this morning, I am heading into town to do some grocery shopping, gas up the truck and maybe run it through the DIY car wash and clean some of the salt off. If I wanted a white truck I would have bought one It will be all gunky again before I get home, but at least a few layers will be gone

Miss working on my scrapbook, now that it's done. But my little brain is beginning to think of a couple of other thngs to make, like a Welcome sign for front of TT at camp and a storage system for inside of my truck bed, so I can leave stuff in there all the time in between trips. I'm pretty handy with tools, so I will lcome up with something. Just trying to decide on a name for the sign. Am thinking of perhaps Colliemom and the Furry Crew with a couple of dog biscuit shaped signs on bottom with each dogs name on it. Something diferent. Who knows.

Well, this day is staring to get away from me. Just had breakfast, got a few dishes to wash up and then head north to town. Have a wonderful day all.

Good Morning... it will be sunny and 60 today after a cold start in the mid 30's... I have been up for hours... not doing very good this morning but it will pass soon I hope...
Some at the GTG are going to the RV Show in Ocala today... I will wait behind and hear all of their adventures later...
We had a nice camp fire at Soos's with snacks and beverages of your choice... mine was diet root beer...
My how water heater works on both electric and gas now that I have a new over flow valve... saved a few dollars by putting it in myself and having Liz crawl under the sink to turn it on... she sure is getting a work out... hmmm wonder what the bill will be...
It was very nice to see Carolyn (sunshinecruiser) and sedona... they left yesterday...
I am off now to try out the hot water...
Thank you for opening the coffee room and warming things up Sue...

Good morning all, looks like the sun is trying to make an appearance this morning here, hooray. Yesterday was a long day for me, had to have some lab work done for these stomach issues I've been having and couldn't eat for SIX hours. Now, I eat pretty much constantly all day and was really concerned. I made it four hours and started feeling weird, Charley came to me and started pushing on my arm, I thought he wanted to go out but he wouldn't leave my side. I finally decided test or no test I was having some apple juice. As soon as the juice kicked in and I started feeling better Charley settled down. Turned out all three people who told me NO FOOD or JUICE for 6 hours were wrong the tech that clear juice or broth was ok until two hours before.

I hope the weather stays nice, my 95 year old stepmother died Tuesday and the service is tomorrow. Until about 3 years ago she bowled on two leagues, worked out at the gym with big weights, sang in the church choir, played cards on Saturdays, volunteered at the Blood Mobile, the Church sponsored thrift shop and was the 'driver' for all social events for her lady friends. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone. She will be missed but I'm thinking of the service as a celebration of her life.

Sue, after I read your post the next one I read was Laura's spring flowers, what a contrast!

Morning,
Trying to get back into the swing of things after my last eye surgery, but this time I'm not seeing as clearly as quickly as the other eye. The lid is still at half-mast. Yesterday at my post op exam the Dr didn't seem concerned about it, but I will give it a few days and see. I hope a nerver wasn't nicked or some such.
Anyway, I I do know my prescription glasses are of no use now, but will have to await some time to ger fitted for new ones as they said it takes time for the brain to readjust to seeing differently. I am not a patient woman in some cases, but will have to learn.

I see the lawyer at 10 this morning. I have a few questions for him but don't really think I'll get a clear answer as he has no control as to how my X's creditors decide how they want to be reimbursed. I'm also thinking I'll go ahead and get the truck, RV and motorcycle titled in my name. Will be easier IF we ever get a buyer for them. So far no one is even calling about them.

Enjoying reading (thru squinted eyes) all the posts I've missed. Great GTG in FL. Glad everyone is having a great time.

Have a blessed day, everyone!

Lenora, I hope your eye heals up soon! I don't think I could go thru that surgery without being completely knocked out! Just the thought of the needles, etc makes me dizzy!

BJ, dogs are very intuitive! Your blood sugar was probably way down and Charlie could sense that. Glad you decided to drink something or you could have passed out. Good going, Charlie!

Slept in late today. Don't go into work until 2pm for the late shift. Tomorrow I am going on that Zen Hike with some other women. Been wanting to go on that for some time, but things always came up on Fridays for me. I have the whole day off tomorrow, so I should be able to make it this time! I can try out my new hiking stick my girlfriend sent to me for my birthday!

It is already 70 degrees here in sunny SoCal! Better get something to eat now and then start getting ready for work. Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
