The gang’s all here (except the day-trippers and Pete from ORS) and the 2011 FL GTG has officially begun!

Everyone gathered at Liz’s site after getting set up.

Beth arrived!

With all the fur kids, the Bark Off was put to use and seemed to work.

Lining up for chili and fixin’s

Then the temps got chilly...everybody has their own way of dealing with that:

Soos was put in charge in fire-building...she’s well experienced

And she soon had a warm, blazing campfire going...

Last but not least, Alice arrived and joined the campfire circle.

The Ranger came by and told us no one was staying in our cabin tonight, so we can get it in the morning. We’ll report from there tomorrow night if we stay out of trouble.

Now remember ladies, “What happens at the GTG, stays at the GTG.” Some things are better left untold....just sayin’.

Now, Caroline, you know we'll find a place for you to stay - for as many nights as you and Sedona can stay! You will not be left to sleep in your car. Promise. So glad you'll be here. Looking forward to seeing you.

Brrrrrrr, yall look COLD!!! Soos did a good job with the campfire to warm yall up. Liz, when I started reading your line "The Ranger came by and told us...." I thought, OH NO, not already!

As far as the bail money, Lori, I put Ronnie out on the street corner today in nuttin but a pair of Speedo's and all he got was horns honkin and a couple of near wrecks, so I dug around in my purse and found some quarters, so I'm adding $2. to the fund. :D

What Fun you all must be having...great chats and giggles around the fire. You all look so cold I had to go put my fuzzy bathrobe on. I imagine Soo's hat is made from one of those Greater Adirondach Moose you always hear about. What a marvelous job, Liz, with all your preparation, and a little gift basket for all, how nice...and to remember all of us in the other 48 that love to see all the photos!!!

Thanks for sharing the latest pics! So good to see everyone.
Goodness, with so many getting to come to the FL GTG now, perhaps you all might think of holding it in February? You all look so cold!

Sounds like lots of fun at the GTG. Just checked the Weather Channel on my iPhone and see that a few showers are expected tomorrow morning, thunderstorms in the afternoon, some severe. High tomorrow is 71 - chance of rain is 90%. Get out those umbrellas!

Here in Davenport, FL (2 hours south of the GTG) the Weather Channel shows for Tuesday afternoon and night, severe thunderstorms, capable of damaging winds, hail, lightning, and tornadoes.

My plan is still to leave Davenport early tomorrow to head to the GTG - but I'll continue to monitor the weather situation before I depart because I plan to drive back on Tuesday afternoon and sure don't want to get caught in that nasty forecasted weather.

Have Fun! Still hoping to see everyone tomorrow.

"Passel of Senior Ladies Arrested After Partying late at the Silver River Campground, drugs and alcohol were indicated, said the arresting officer." Soos has been attending those wild Single GTG's. She may end up giving lessons to the 'old folks'. Note that as a single I have not attended any GTG that got me jailed.........yet.

Soooooo.....what about when you weren't single??? C'mon, fess up Nancy!!

Looks like so much fun, wish I was there (repeating myself again)...

It looks soooooooooo cold there. You all need a women rv snuggie. Maybe next year. February sounds like a better choice, after all last year was so cold it snowed !!! As stated, laughter and a good Soos built fire and you gals are set. Thanks for the pics. Linda

LOLOL Love the pics but I'm sure glad that when I looked at them my sun here was shining brightly and warmly.

Poor Wendy looks like she's about froze and ready to turn into a icicle. At least on the outside that is. Cause I just know she was warmed on the inside with all the chatting, jokes, stories and laughter ya'll are having down there!!!

Keep the pics a posting! ;)

Actually, if the FL GTG wants to make sure it's warmer, probably would need to go further south in FL even in Feb. But it's beautiful today - and with coats and blankets last night and the fire and laughter it wasn't bad. About what you might expect in the desert. Today, I'm wearing a sundress - and with my door and windows open, it's 72 in my rig right now. Will have to shut up for tonight - and dang, yes, the rain is predicted to hit us tomorrow.

We did the tour of the rigs today - took us over 2 hours. It sure is fun to see all the different types of rigs and what people have done. I want to take out my sofa and replace it this summer with a "hand made sofa/bed combo" and loved seeing what both Tina and Alice have done - both similar to what I want to do. I had the picture in my head - so seeing it done by others made it that much more cohesive for me. I so enjoy seeing everything everyone does :)
